Allright i guess i will be the first to start off this topic.

Who here Uses sony Vegas? i have 6.0D and i got some questions.

Adobe Premiere here :/ I downloaded vegas once...but then that computer died <<

ah ic i tried perimre but i found it harder to use than vegas. although vegas is somewhat complex and alot of stuff i wish i found a guide online to show me all the extra features in the program and what not..

if you want vegas and i can give to you along with the key gen

i plan to make a trailer or a teaser for this competion ( based on my project i am planning on) i assume that is allright? i mean normally teasers are no longer than 63 seconds after that they become trailers and trailers usally do not go above 2 to 3 mins depening on how long the final project is.

cool, though i see that naruto AMV's are takin more heavy.. i might change it then ti bleach or something but i wanted to do a naruto vid bad.. belive me its not just an mp3 and action clips timed to it

if i change my mind on naruto i might do a sad oriented AMV. more emotions not sure yet i see i got time though ...

Well i decied to to mai otome.

Mecha i am doing Mai Otome Story Part 2 for this competion and if you did not watch one well i suggest you do so you under stand this.

there will be a big differance between them i mean in quality/effects/sound etc. because this time i am using vegas and no WMM! so far its working out great i love it.

how come there are so few entrants? i would love to enter if i ever learn to work premiere...let's hope that would be soon

you can make really good video's with WMM as well Rho, its not all about effects just how you approach the AMV and the orginality of it.

when you try to load a video onto the time line or when you open the program?

if its opening the program try and reinstalling it

if its the loading a video onto the timeline and it crashes then try smaller files at first to see if the size is the problem. if not try reinstalling it.


I have Adobe Preimre 6.0 ( still learning)
Sony Vegas 6.0d ( easier than premire but just has good less effects though)
and Windows Movie maker.

if you want Vegas just let me know.

any one here use ulead video studio? cause i just started using it and im still a little confused on how every thing works with it.

I have a question. How many people usually enter an AMV competition on NF? Because i checked the previous AMV threads and there always seemed to be just 3 people being judged. Is there an elimination round or has there only been 3 or 4 people entering? If so then does this 4th competition actually have more people entering? If so then it would really be exciting to have more of a competition! Also I would like to see one of the judges enter.

just this time around more ppl heard about it and more ppl started making AMv's so it just got bigger

that's great, I love AMVs! Because there's more competition, the quality of the vids should go up too! I can't wait to check out all the fresh new naruto AMVs!!!

Hey Goku, since you seem to be one of the AMV gods, do you know what program(s) would work best if you're trying to make a manga music video with just images? I don't know if I could learn some complicated thing, I've always wondered how people did those little white/black block or line effects to the video.

All I use is WMM, it can get the job done I guess...I just want to know what other effects I could use in my video to make it flow better. I heard of that Adobe Image After Effects 7.0 or something, but it would take forever to download since it's not bittorrent and just a little trial. (and besides the fact I don't have a clue what it does...).

I need something better than WMM~~! I want this to turn out as good as possible.

007vegeta ( final conflict maker) one of his beta vids had manga pages in it i linked it in the other narutofan competion thread ( the non discussion one) he uses adobe preimire i know you can do it in vegas as well but im not sure yet.

but for images you can do alot more with sony vegas / adobe permire than WMM in that aspect.

I keep trying to download trial versions but they never work for some reason. Isn't there an evil site that gives them for free?

I was wondering...if I was making a video just using manga images...how would the judges rate video quality. I was thinking of maybe trying to manually edit text and stuff out without messing up the image, but that would take forever. Well I do have like 2 months though...just want to know my effort won't go unnoticed.

maybe trying something so difficult shouldn't be your first video. you are of course welcome to try doing this, but until you get all the tricks down, perhaps making a more traditional amv would work better for you.

video quality is just that. video. When you make a video out of still images, it is still producing a video when you export it out of the program. if the quality is bad, there will be pixelations and such that make it look bad. if the quality is good, it will be like looking at a nice clean manga scan! :D

This won't be my first video actually...my second manga video. I don't like doing anime ones because it would take me at least 2 months just to download the raws and stuff...hell noes.

6 hours straight on soda + boredom = My first evil MMV. (Beware of Naruto manga spoilers) So not doing a Japanese song...ever again.

See how bland it looks because the WMM effects aren't that spiffy as the ones in VicBond007's thingie.
