Silver Surfer vs. Goku

I don't really know why I make these when tons of people who never read the comics will show up and start ranting about how Dragonball characters pwn everyone, but anyway...

Silver Surfer. Can move at virtually infinite speeds, can lift ridiculous amounts, is virtually indestructible and can restructure atoms to heal himself instantly, can manipulate force and atoms to the point where can drain the energy out of supernoves, destroy whole solar systems with a well placed force blast, break down or alter the atoms of his opponents, etc. Basically, he can do nearly anything he wants.

Goku. You know his powers, he can teleport, wipe out whole galaxies, move at light speeds, throw insane energy blasts, etc.

Heck limiting Surfer to speed only, he gets this, never mind his other ridiculous powers.

Yeah, thats mostly what I figured as well. I was initially planning to make this SS vs all of the Z fighters, but thought I'd first see if there were any compelling arguments as to why Goku alone could stand up to him.

There aren't any, SS wins. Stronger, faster, more powerful energy blasts, and magic. And each of those are multiple orders of magnitude above Goku. I actually saw a site which proved Goku is not even close to Superman, and Superman is a flea compared to SS.

I know I am telling you something you already know, but be ready for 20 DBZ fans which will just say he is stronger/whatever or die then train and win. They are wrong. SS could probably take the DBZ Dragons.

The DBZ dragons are pansies anyway. Piccolo Daimou killed Shenron with ease, way back in Dragonball and he's a relative weakling.
No idea about Porunga but I doubt he's stronger to the degree that it'd make much difference in DB land.

Unless you meant the GT dragons..which are just yuck..as much of a mess as GT is the dragons there are probably weaker than Bulma but stronger SSJ3 Goku.

No doubt we'll see those type of arguments regardless.

well, I can asure you taht goku is stronger than superman! but if you could give me the link to that website that proved superman was stronger I would appreciate it. back to the main topic, I ahve never read or seen SS, but you made it seem like he is stronger than goku, unless Goku teleported away and just waited for SS to die. first time I have heard of someone being able to beat Goku.

You know, SS would outlive Goku don't you? Seriously Goku doesn't even have that chance..
Heck if SS was serious (since he moves millions of times faster than light) Goku wouldn't even have time to lock onto Ki.

Oh wait, that's right...SS has cosmic awareness, if Goku travelled anywhere in this Universe SS would find him (his only chance is to teleport to "another dimension" but really that's pretty much running away).

Goku is stronger than cartoon Superman, not comic book Superman.

Lol, the thing is the Silver Surfer isn't anywhere near the level of some of the beings in the Marvel Universe, even though he's ridiculously powerful he's an insect compared to some other beings..

He started off as a slave to Galactus, who makes SS look insignificant. Galactus was the person who gave SS his powers (which were only a tiny fraction of Galactus's).
I mean the dude (Galactus) churns out such immense power that his diet consists mainly of planets..

...Galactus is pretty high on the pecking order but even he gets pushed around by one or two guys in the Universe..

Edit: I don't have the link to the Superman thing, sorry...i'll try and get some info though..

The thing about Superman is that he is sometimes badly written (or rather he's written by too many people), sometimes he gets Ko'ed by the moon blowing up, other times a blast that should destroy half the universe doesn't phase him..so it's weird.

Goku: i'll hit you with a kamehameha that blows up the planet.
SS: (ss goes to the sun drains it's energy hits goku with it or the sun explodes) flies out into another galaxy.

goku is outerspaced-challenged. he has the power to go to toe with a lot of people before they actually bring out other powers other than punching and moving, but he can't survive in outerspace. He needs the planet. Even if he has the power to blow up the planet, it doesn't matter if his opponent can also and can just survive in outerspace, or fly through stars for that matter.

LOL, Goku might see another moon somewhere and have his power be multiplied by a kazillion to become SSJ51985091941983274x54 in order to defeat SS.

All he would be is this immense mass of yellow hair that enveloped the universe. XD That's the only way I see Goku winning.

Though, the only way I see goku winning is if he summons the eternal dragon to wish SS back to his own universe.
