What's the signifigance of the red pills I wonder?

I looked up the scene in the translated pieces and I didn't really understand it...
Red Pill

It was sad how Hanyuu was apologizing for Rena cutting herself though; I wonder if Hanyuu followed Rena all the way to Ibaraki[?] to apologize to her.

What're they going to do about Akasaka? They never showed him as the "final piece". Is he just going to show up in this episode?
