The Anti Character Bashing FC: Enough with the hate!

Welcome to the Anti Character Bashing fanclub!

Despite being an "anti" club, the main purpose is to act as a sort of anti "Anti (insert character here) FC", which makes it kind of a double negative, which makes it actually positive! Yay! Anyway, the point is, this FC is supposed to act as a sort of sanctuary for those who don't see the point of hating fictional characters, and enjoy the entire cast of Naruto for their various interesting quirks, and their addition to the storyline.

Another part of our goal is to spread the love of the many, many unappreciated characters, and focus on their strengths and likable traits.

Love the characters. It's what Lee would want.

Inspired by the Pairing Peace FC and the Unbash a Character thread.

Rules:

1) No character bashing. (Who would've guessed it?)
2) Stay semi on topic. (As on topic as you can be, anyway. I'll be lenient-ish on this one.)
3) Don't worry, be happy! (Am I pushing the happy too much?)
4) No fandom/member bashing. Kind of obvious, not ?
5) Keep the pairing talk to a minimum.

Personally, I'd say there's a large difference between, for example... Being a rabid Ino hater, or just liking ShikaTema instead of ShikaIno, y'know? (Personally, I like both, but I'm sure you get the point.) Besides, this is sort of like the character equivalent of Pairing Peace, so there's kind of a difference in focus. I really don't consider pairings much of a part of this, unless you're like one of the above metaphorical ShikaIno fans.

Oh, really? Thank you. I was pretty fond of that set myself. I'd had them for a couple weeks though, and was getting tired of them...

Or, if you're referring to one of the ones I had earlier this afternoon, I switch around a lot before deciding. Hell, I'll probably have something new again tomorrow.

I found the way he smiled at the Naruto bridge pretty noteworthy, personally. I believe it's quite likely at this point that he does still care for his old team, and that he's likely to have a moment of Konoha redemption sooner or later.

That's just what I think, anyway. I'll keep you in mind though!

Mmm. Understandable.

Sasuke's memories of the Uchiha slaughter, need to get his revenge, and influence from Orochimaru had brought him to a point where he was downright convinced that the only way to become powerful was the leave the safe environment of Konoha, a mindset he still has.

I'd say it's less of a "ditching old friends for new ones", and more of "leaving to fix something that's been screwing with your head for years". While his fight was Naruto was pretty heartbreaking, he did refrain from killing him, even though doing so seemed to be the only way he could ever become Itachi's equal. I like that he chose instead to seek power far away, instead of just killing off his best friend like the logical ninja-on-a-warpath mindset choice would be.

The way I see it, Sasuke does certainly still care, far more than he does for Orochimaru or Sound, who were more of a means to achieve an end. It was kind of like... A passing over from the people who care about him, to people who were ruthless and powerful enough to aid him in his goal.

What he did wasn't admirable, sure, but it wasn't without reason, and if he was really heartless and trying to get rid of them, he had perfect opportunities to kill both his teammates and never have to worry about them interrupting his goals again. He's not the most emotional or caring person alive, but I'm sure he'll return to Konoha soon. Becoming a Missing Nin for good would somewhat make him a follower of Itachi's path, something he's trying to avoid, and once he's resolved everything, he'll have no reason not to go back.

I think this fanclub is a nice idea.

I'm not against legitimate criticism of a character's direction, that sort of thing, but the mindless bashing that goes on in the Library shouldn't be tolerated. I don't understand why the moderators allow it to go on, but oh well.....

Two of my favorite characters, Hidan and Sai, have been targets of this bashing. People who hate them take every oppurtunity to make fun of the character, say shamelessly hateful and disgusting things to the fans of those characters when they defend them, and make what they call "joke threads", which are really just threads designed for the sole purpose of humiliating these characters and their fans (and this is done repeatedly in the Library). It's basically spam, but again, the moderators allow it.

So I'd like to join this fc because like I said, I'm not against legitimate disapproving of a character, but crude and disgusting comments about them and "joke threads" designed just to bash a character, suck.

Btw, I'll ask B, the owner of the Hidan FC, to ally with this one!

One of the reasons that I love "Naruto" so desperately is because of its amazing cast of diverse and wonderful characters. Their development, growth, and individuality are what make the show and manga so great.

Anyways, lovely idea for an FC.
