That's a possibility due to the length of time he possessed the Byakugan. I expect him to unleash some remarkable techniques, however, I think him not being a true member of the House of Hyuga could have it's effects on him, as not beloning to the Uchiha has on Kakashi and Danzou.

Im really hoping that he lives, I would like to see what he can do.

However even if he dies, that just means Danzo and them have to turn around and come back for his head. By the time they return the Mizukage will probably be there and all hell will break lose.
