She is now going to go find Sasuke for one of two reasons:

1. To try and kill or capture him herself, thus eliminating the threat to both the village and Naruto. She has little chance in an out and out fight, but she's a medical ninja, and could probably poison him so long as she convinced him she came as an ally. Of course, she might be expecting to be killed in the process, but she would at least have achieved her aim. [Chances are that she will find that she's not emotionally capable of actually killing Sasuke, and may even end up protecting him, but at this stage it's possible she's still on her "for the good of the village" stint.]

2. She is going to confront him and yell at him/find out what's going on. If she was capable of seeing past her anger in this chapter, it's patently obvious that Naruto, Kakashi and Yamato have information about Sasuke that they're hiding from her. Naruto reiterates the vengeance theme. Sakura may be wishing to get the truth from the source.

I'm leaning toward option 1 at the moment.

Anyway, the axe specifically came about thanks to the volume 33 cover, which depicted Naruto with the axe even though its coloration matched Sakura's design more and literally had her name on it. And we've waiting for it ever since.

-First i think what Sakura is really trying to accomplish is to protect Naruto by trying to make him go back to Konoha and try to keep him out of danger as much as possible and somehow try to ease his pain even to the extent that she'll be risking a lot, although arguably her way of doing so (confessing she love him, could be fake or not. i still think it is half true. Sakura cares for her friend) is not good.

Before Sakura an co. went to the Iron country we are already made aware of that her main objective is to do the right thing and stop making mistakes, and that involves other objectives such as protecting both Sasuke and Naruto. Sadly she seems to be torn apart by this because of the event unfolding onto her that one of the people she swore to protect is endangering the other person she had also sworn to protect which is Naruto. But with all had Sasuke done and she has no idea why he is doing all this (joining akatsuki) so she was force to do what she think is right. put an end at all of this herself. that i think is her objective.

And what i think she will do from now is stop Sasuke, i have this feeling that she would want to hear Sasuke's side first before anything else.

i don't really had much logical ideas but i'm so excited on the upcoming chapter since i know the possibilities to see Sakura in action is not far

^^ Whether she's telling the truth about her feelings and how much of the truth she's telling is a sensitive subject, probably closely tied for 95% of us to whatever FC membership we declare in our signatures, and we're probably best to stay away from that issue here.

That aside, I definitely agree that one of her goals here is trying to get Naruto to bow out of the Sasuke retrieval business. She probably hopes that by making it clear she no longer expects him to keep that promise it will give him enough of a push to make him let go. However, she seems to have underestimated the strength of his own personal stake in bringing Sasuke back, and she doesn't even know about his meeting with Itachi, which virtually amounted to another promise. Part of the problem here, and one of the reasons her mission failed, is that both of them are holding back information. She's not telling Naruto about the Rookies' decision, probably in another well-intentioned but misguided attempt to avoid hurting him (just like back in 299, when she lied about the kyuubi injuring her arm because she didn't want to hurt him), but instead of putting Naruto at ease it just makes her whole trip look suspicious in his eyes. On the other side of it, he's got all kinds of information on Sasuke that could change her and the Rookies' perspective on the issue, but Kakashi won't let him share it. So end result is exactly what we got, a stalemate.

@Rinoa: Wow, that picture is GORGEOUS! What a great find! I've always wanted to meet her parents, but now I almost DON'T want to, just so I can keep that image of her mother in my head for the rest of the series.
