Mewtwo uses his psychic abilities to snap Itachi's neck. Game over. Don't even think about using the "Lawl Genjutsu" defense. It won't work here. Seriously, pitting Mewtwo against almost ANY character results in a rape.

No, it doesn't. When did Mewtwo demonstrate he could read minds?
And when did he demonstrate to control to snap a neck? He can make things levitate, not completely control their movement. Genjutsu could easily be Mewtwo's defeat.

Mewtwo is easily strong enough mentally to break out of a genjutsu.

When you can control people with your mind, snapping necks isn't too hard. He just never really had cause to do it in the movie (If you're talking about the movie Mewtwo. Game Mewtwo is even more powerful.). He can also easily wipe clean Itachi's mind, or make him explode (He did it to the machinery in the lab) or levitate him into space. There's many options for Mewtwo.
