Before he realises whats going on ? Itachi can see chakra. He'd have no trouble of understanding that it is a genjutsu. If the scenario doesn't allow him, I don't think Jiriaya has the luxury of hiding somewhere until the frog song is finished.

i just want to say that if madara ( who si no in his prime ) is still stronger than itachi ( even with susanno)

Madara cannot be compared here because he knows MS inside out and surpassed it's level by a large margin. On the other hand, Jiraiya doesn't have a clue about Susanoo.

Pretty much just like every justsu in the world of Naruto. They all guaranties you'll die. However nothing but the final technique rarely works. Not really an argument but all I can say is that if there is anyone in the world of Naruto that could break the Frog song it would be Itachi.

Funny thing is, not even 1 jiraiya tard could put up a proper argument how Jiraiya would deal with layers of genjutsu/finger genjutsu/incredible shunshin speed/tsukiyomi/amaterasu/susano'o.

It is a fact that Itachi outclasses Jiraiya even when he is holding back(no killing intend/sickness)

It's obvious why Itachi said that Jiraiya was stronger after the revelation we heard. He didn't want to harm J-man.

Yeah, it's more like he thought killing Jiraiya was pointless. He had to make up a lie to tell Kisame as to why he didn't want to fight, and he told him Jiraiya was stronger than them... and Kisame still didn't believe him.
