I'm not a fan of yaoi, never have and I never will - of this I'm 100 percent certain. I only support them, Sasuke and Naruto, as brotherly relationship and rivalry. It seems whenever two guys are like this, some people just instantly matches them up and sighs saying how "hot" it is. Not in my book. Just little things like a smile and they think "omg, it's love". Neither shows any signs of liking one another or other men in general.

I believe SasuNaru fans tend to read too much into things. Just because Sasuke isn't "in to" girls at the moment doesn't make him gay or not. His life is much different than our lives, which is how I think people look at it. He's not nineteen, he's 15. Not everyone is high on hormones or panting after a girl like a dog after its bone. He has ambitions and if he wants to restore his clan one would think it would be with a girl - I doubt Naruto can hold that "Sexy Justsu" of his. And where would the baby come out? (Completely and blissfully clueless on Male Pregnancy).

Furthermore, why would he want a girlfriend with Itachi out there? A man who willingly slaughtered his own family without batting an eyelash. I wouldn't be surprised if Sasuke did show any signs of affections towards anyone that person would go "missing" from Earth.

I also don't understand why some people are more pron to attack Sasuke for being revenge bent compared to Garra or Itachi - Itachi of all people. Of all three, I believe Sasuke should get the most sympathy, then Gaara. I think some people don't relate to Sasuke as much since they probably never had their entire family murdered by someone they looked up to and was helpless to stop it. I believe Sasuke would've been a completely different person if his family, and clan were still alive. He was such a sweet boy looking just for his father's approval and his brother's attention. Lastly, Naruto from day one showed affections, unrequited in the end, towards Sakura.

Alright, if it's coming from something that specifically has yaoi in it, ie: Gravitation, then I have no qualms about it. It's just really annoying when people take a beautiful friendship between two men and declare it as LOVE-LOVE. Especially if it excludes my fave female chara...Sakura. =_=

This can branch to other fandoms, of course. Take two male characters who are obviously NOT gay nor share "hidden feelings and/or thoughts" about each other...they share many similar personality traits, such as being hot-headed and their thought patterns are alike. It's fun to see how they clash and all because they are obviously friends even though they vehemently deny it.

And freakin' fans just paste them together and label them an OTP. Err...what?

Can you tell I really admire men's friendship? XD

I agree. If two characters are gay and their paired off, I have no problem. But it crosses the line when they're not. If the mangaka doesn't say they're gay, then they're not. There's no ifs or buts about it because what the creator says gos. I love Sakura with Sasuke. I mean who else can keep him in line? With how she is nowadays, I wouldn't be surprised if she punched him given the chance for all the emotional distress his leaving Konoha caused both her and Naruto.

My goodness Sasuke and Naruto's relationship mirrors to that of Goku and Vegeta - another popular fanon yaoi pairing. Two sets of rivals that yaoi fans had a field day with. It's so hard finding a decent number of heterosexual doujinshi when yaoi is so popular especially in Japan and America. I just can't see Sasuke and Naruto as gay. And since Sakura loves Sasuke and Naruto likes Sakura, many people just get rid of her in a cruel manner or ship her with someone else.

Okay, I admit my OT3 is SasuSakuNaru, but that's just my inner pervert and I don't consider that an actual pairing. I hardly ever read that stuff especially since they tend to end up being more SasuNaru, and that just ruins it even if I'm in a smutty mood.

I think SasuSakuNaru is one of, if not the best, OT3 for those who simply can't decide. It's the only way I'll read anything with yaoi hints. A number of them do end up yaoi, I can deal if it's not SasuSaku and remains SasuSakuNaru, which is disheartening to me.Other than getting my weekly perverted nature taken care of, I'm a mini Kakashi roaming about with a book always in hand unless I'm driving, sleeping or on the computer, I can't stand yaoi. NaruSasu irks me the most of all yaoi couplings - and ItaSasu. Just because they're close doesn't make them homosexual. Just because Sasuke is more into revenge doesn't make him gay - you can't revive a clan using Naruto. His justsu wouldn't last and Naruto hasn't made an indications he's "batting" for the "other team".

my only stumbling block is that you have not been a member of the forum for very long. I would ask that you think carefully on how that might affect your ownership and that you give the TOS and the FAQ a very thorough reading before agreeing fully to become owner of this FC.

When you agree to become owner you agree to post in the FC, to keep the front page working and changing and growing as the fc does, to pick competent co-owners who will assist you in this process and not be a burden to you. To help calm tense situations and know when to ask for a mods assistance. your job as the owner is to build membership and inspire other people to post and continue posting and to contribute to the FC as a whole with banners, art, stories and whatever else seems appropriate.

Do you think you are capable of all of these things as you are now?
If you can honestly say yes then i think the position is more then yours but you have to go through with it and you need to be dedicated.

I see. Thank you, but I guess I'll take up the offer in a few more months. It would be for the best for the time being. I am, of course, still new at this community, plus this summer I'm getting my butt into gear to write that stupid novel I've been itching to write. This will get both my mother off my back () and me to feel some accomplishment other than moaning about Sasuke not being with his friends or sleeping half the day away watching anime or reading because I'm waiting to purchase a new computer. Fan fiction writing is great, but I would like to achieve one of my dreams before I hit my twenties. Being a mod/owner of a FC indeed is about dedication and I'm going to be split, plus I tend to be more in other communities.

On a different note, I've been getting really into the data books because no one with a logical outlook can argue with them. For the argument against NaruSasu I'm taking on the kiss that was supposedly the start of a beautiful "romance" more like rivalry. Quick and simple.

Q:Naruto and Sasuke kiss (accidentally) in the first chapter where they appear together. Does this add a special dimension to their rivalry?

A:I didn't have any particular reason for it, other than to surprise the readers. I mainly did it because I don't think there has ever been a manga where two rivals have kissed. Also, by having this encounter, it was easier to set up the love triangle: Sakura, who had intended to be the first one to kiss Sasuke, has it stolen by her rival Naruto. Sasuke and Naruto are rivals, so there's added tension there. And so on and so fourth.

And of course, there's no time traveling justsu, that I'm aware of, that could prevent this from happening. I don't see how their expressions, and responses could be the start of a budding romance. Of course, they are good friends and I guess when some people adore yaoi even signs of friendship and acceptance is looked to as love or the door to hot, rough sex. It's as if two guys, or heck, even two girls can't be friends without there be a crowd of people demanding there be more even when there's a clear wall of rivalry or brotherly love for one another.

*I'm currently working on an essay discussing SasuSaku, some NaruHina, and the platonic relationships of NaruSaku and NaruSasu based soley upon the data books, interviews and semi non bias explanations. Again, thank you summer vacation.

I don't hate SasuNaru, just annoyed by it. It is a shounen series tradition for same gender friends (especially guys) to have a closer bond than different gender friends-that doesn't mean they're in love with each other.

-Naruto is somewhat the most "feminine" of the Naruto guys, but it's obvious that he's not gay. Like Jiraiya, Naruto is a pervert who chased after Sakura, peek at the girls' hot spring, and drool over Konohamaru's girlxgirl technique. And PLEASE don't give me that "he told Sakura that Sasuke looks better than Sai" thing, that was just a fluke of anger. Naruto was freaked out when he kissed Sasuke by accident and seeing that SasuSai jutsu. If he is THAT interested in Sasuke, he would of drooled over it with Sakura.

-Just because Sasuke is not all that crazy about girls as Naruto, doesn't mean he's gay either. The girls who chased after him were immature and rabid; that's really unattractive. So of course Sasuke wouldn't go after them. Those fangirls only like him for his looks and power as an Uchiha. Sure, Naruto is one of the few who sees Sasuke more than that, but that's just maturing their relationship, not romance.

-The most ANNOYING part of this is fandom bashing Sakura, Hinata or any other girl who actually HAVE a love interest to Naruto or Sasuke. No one is interfering SasuNaru, Sasuke and Naruto are by only see themselves as brothers, as it says in the manga and databooks.

Basically, SasuNaru is nothing but a joke and a yaoi fan's dream. And that dream is a failure to reality.

Honestly though same sex friends cannot be just "friends" in the fandom world where yaoi thrives. It's scary. And despite the fact that Kishi-san even said the "kiss" was for comical relief and the fact that he never saw two rivals in such a odd position was why he did that. Thus, unintentionally opening the Pandora box. The thing that really irks me other than neither character is gay nor shows any indication of wanting to ship with other males, is the bashing. Sakura seems to get it from all around (especially yaoi) and Sasuke too endures this but mostly in the heterosexual part of the fandom. Bashing only shows doubt and childishness. A true pairing doesn't need to bash anyone to look good (SasuSaku), especially since a certain someone's feelings were admired by Kishi-san himself.

In short,

Sasuke and Naruto are not gay. End of story. Get over it.
