Death Note Movie translation help

This isn't technically manga, or even anime-related, but I say close enough.

Since no one seems to want to sub this thing (possibly because it's only the first half and because of the watermark) I want to do sub it and distribute it. But.......

Everything is set up beautifully -- I removed the watermark, the time codes for dialogue are all timed and everything, and even 1/3 of the dialogue has been filled in ... but I'm only a second year Japanese student at my University, so even though I'm very familiar with the series, I can't do much more translating on my own from hearing alone. (Even what I've done is only really 80%-90% accurate.)

So I need some help, especially with newscaster and NPA dialogue. Does anyone know where I can go to get translation help for this thing? Or can anyone here contribute transcripts for sections of the movie??

I didn't even know the movie was out yet (er like to the public) I'm not familure with the manga, but after watching it I could help out a little bit... I think^^;

anyways, it was apparently only 56 min long so, is it only the first part, or is it the full movie ? anyways im watching now

56 min = the first half, which is up to the bus scene. This has been avaliable on YouTube and various torrents for a few days -- it has a huge Chinese watermark saying something like "for personal use only; do not sell" which is probably the second leading cause that no one wants to sub it, cuz it's really annoying. But since I was able to remove it, I want to go one step further and sub it....

Like I said, it's on YouTube, but in 6 parts, about 9 minutes each.

This was gonna be a quick release, aiming for speed over accuracy of the translation (and my own practice in Japanese). But since I'm legitimately stuck in some scenes, maybe I should have someone translate the whole thing by themselves, and promote it to a higher quality release. I don't know.

But anyway.... I'm having specific problems decoding all newscaster dialogue, and much of what goes on in the NPA. If anyone can provide transcripts........ or anything at all................?

Try using mysubtitles.com.

Also, they have new feature which is really exciting where all of us can help, The Online Community Translations. Where the subtitles of a movie are split into small section, so anyone who has 1 minute can translate it.
