Dreamcast was great just because of Jet Set Radio. That and Resident Evil Code: Veronica were the reasons I bought a DC. I always wanted to try Typing of the Dead, too, but I never got a hold of it. DC had a lot of neat games.
The memory cards with screens on them were awesome, too.

dreamcast was a great system with a lot of potential! Hell I still HAVE my DC along with my collection of games! I just think that it got overwhelmed since it's competitors were PS2, GC, and Xbox. It was the first console to have Internet capability (before PS2, etc.), and online play. Personally sometimes I think my DC has better graphics than my PS2, and better loading time. :P

Dude, how can you say that. can't you see that hurts me...I"m crying now.
Anyways. that comment is unfounded an obviously due to brainwashing by evil microsoft. Anyone who is a true gamer knows that Dreamcast was pretty cool and revolutionary for its time. Not to mention the cool games. Go soul calibur, grandia 2, skies of arcadia, power stone, shenmue, etc. cause there's too many.

i also own the game on ps2 but only play it on the DC since the DC ver got no loading times and also got the sound right...not ps2 fault since MVC2 was designed for the naomi board so it was a perfect conversion for the machine....
it was a sad fate for the system... i work at a game store and they still sell ps1 titles while dc got the boot...
it was my fav party machine (multiplayer) that was until....SSMBM came and pwned my soul and the souls of my friends :D

I loved Dreamcast. In fact, I still have one. Only one game, but it's a good one. Power Stone 2. I wanna also find Virtual On: Otario Tangrem (for those that played the new Virtual On games, and think they're great, then you've obviously never played the old versions, the new game is horrid in comparison). DC was also the greatest fighting game system to come into existence :amuse .

The Dreamcast had Grandia 2, Shemue, Skies of Arcadia, and a good sms emulator. It just had real crapy marketing in North America. I'd buy it if my brother didn't already own one, it blows away n64 and saturn (I really hated saturn, I only liked S:tHA).
Skies of Arcadia, MvC2, CvS, all those game were fun. also got to watch vcds off of it and play old school games :D.

But Sega Dreamcast had a much better online deal than Sony did i thought so anyways. Dreamcast was more powerful than the PS2 ( which is funny) , plus they had good support . Games where easy to make on it etc. Danm im going to miss that system :(

NO it died in about a year and a half. And i can tell you that it had a shitload of kick ass games that you would play for 60 + hours. Here is just a few , Shenmue, Soul Calibur, Grandia 2, Skies Of arcadia, BAngio , and more. Plus Dreamcast had a kick ass launch of games better than any current console out now.

Think of any damn game you loved for the DC. Download it. Burn it. Have fun!
So far, i've got SFIII, MvC2, Crazy Taxi, DoA2, Soul Calibur(Out of the ring!), Mark of the Wolves, and i'm currently downloading Ikaruga and Chu Chu rocket.
This is probably old news for people who've done this before, but I just found out how damn easy it is now. It's AWSOME. So get your Dreamcasts from the garage and start playing those great games!

Yeah, I had and still have my Dreamcast. Mine's pretty knew, because I bought one of the replacement plans with it, and it broke a couple months before it expired, so I got a brand new one. The new one's barely been played, seeing as I had other systems to play with by the time I got it replaced. I loved The House of the Dead 2, with the light-gun, and I still play that game to this day. Sonic Adventure was awesome, as was Soul Calibur. So many good memories. :)

I've always found it funny to blame Sony PS2 fans who talk about liking Dreamcast for the ultimate downfall of it. So many of my friends in 6th grade (I think that was when the Dreamcast was coming out) didn't buy one because "they were waiting for the L33T PS2 that is HAXXORZ" or whatever. And because of you people, Dreamcast died way before it really should. You people get my wag of the finger today. :mad
There was a thing on G4 about the DC, "Icons" I think, talking about how so many people waited for PS2, and that was why DC died so quickly. Oh, and it was also because the PS2 had the DVD drive, and it really caught on in Japan because of DVD, and also many people here bought it for the DVD drive.

Exactly what PS3 will do for Blu-Ray...
I’m a sega fan boy, and of course I have a deamcast, for me is the best console ever, even better than psone and mega drive. Nothing can take my dreamcast from me.

Sega Dreamcast was awesome. Sonic Adventure 1 was awesome. Dead or Alive 2 was so hardcore played it for course. Man but most of time was dialing in to play Phantasy Star Online all the time.

If you go to school, ask your friends if they still have their Dreamcast. Oddly enough, plenty of people did at my school, and my friend's going to give me his controllers ^__^
