Are U being treated right, by your parents/bf/gf/family/other students etc
also whats your opinion about being treated right, because as we all know woman have a lower rank than man still in many country,s :(

as you said, ones opinion of being treated right, waries from person to person.. a person that has been the underdog his whole life, will be thrilled at just being paied attention, while a 'popular' person whould be at an uproar to just being treated differnetly..
people should be treated equally, at least as a start.

yeah i dont understand that, we all are humans and we shall be treated with the same respect, and we are all humans and we are all equal in my mind, well i think im treated with respect except from that some call me things but i dont care, the world does not stop for that, when i was a kid a was beaten and called names, just becoz i was smaller then the rest, and i got over it and now im respected by my frineds and thats what counts i dont care what ppl think of me as long as i have my friends and familys respect.

No, im not being treated right, because my "freinds" touch me all the time just for fun at collage, It happened to me in school where bullies touched me because they thought i was gay, i wasnt gay, i had a girlfreind and i never told anyone because people would laugh at me. My brothers also call me gay because they have never know i have a girlfreind. I dont go around calling them gay because they have never had one and i know that for a fact.
My onpinion of being treated right is being respected by the people around you not because of what you have or havent had but because you are who you are and you are an individual.

My parents treat me like a little kid, and offer me everything. I hate it. At school I'm treated either A) Like a little kid due to my size or B) Respected for who I am. Honestly, I prefer the ladder a lot more than the former.
As far as women's rights go, equality's great, but I certainly don't want men to become an inferior sex... You should be able to do whatever you want, regardless of Gender-- Men Make good nurses and housekeepers just as women make good soldiers and Constructionworkers. Though sometimes the other gender is better at something, just because of the way the male and female bodies/minds work differently.

that's so true. peopel just look at me funny when I hear about a guy talking a bout all the women he's slept with, and I call him a whore.. why? isn't that that the exact thing guys call girls if they have slept with 3-4 guys? then she's a slut. but a guy can sleep with 30-40 girls, and he's 'cool'.

I agree wholeheartedly with Hayabusa that being treated right is being respected for who you are, in every single way.
I am not really treated right. Granted I have friends whom care about me, and it isn't everyone at school, in that place I deal with a lot of harassment. Harassment for dressing the way I do, liking anime, liking the music I do, the way I get hyper at random times, and because of the fact that I am bi. I was not stupid enough to announce that last part, but instead a "friend" told everyone. I have been pushed against walls, kicked, targeted with sports equipment during gym (this gets quite annoying), but some of the comments from others are what do the most damage, and simply being excluded after doing nothing.
No one deserves to be disrespected. No one.
well i dont play videogames, or stuff like that (i do know what hl2 and cs are) ^^;;
but yeh playing games isnt a thing 4 girls in the world we live =/

Everytime a guy goes nuts about being beaten by a girl on cs, or tekken or whatever, and he becoems mad becouse I'm a girl, I feel like punching him. >_< why is it so bloody common to treat people differently becouse of sex/race? it's just so bloody wrong! and also, why does so few people see it? *annoyed*

Sometimes though it's hard to tell the difference when someone's just messing around or when they mean it. I still tackle the person for good measure. 'cause it's fun. But then again, dorm life is a LOT different than elsewhere, you tend to forget about anything that was done to you, cause life sucks if you don't. Sometimes you're in a fight with someone(Dirty one, anything goes), and 2 hours later you both forget about it, and act like nothing happened. Sometimes it takes as long as a week, but people don't hold grudges long, cause then things start to happen, and that's bad.

forget all of those morons, dont let them get to you. the saw thing happened to me a couple of years go, everyone used to pick on me beacuse i was really overweifgth as a kid, and i just used to get mad about it and really sasd, but honestly they arent evebn worth the effort. and too show you the hipocrsy of them, for 3 months i excersised like crazy and ate as little as i could, the n went to the gym and bulit up my body and suddenly everyone was acting as if they never did anything to me before. these kinda ppl arwent friends, they are just "ppl you know" and dont catogrize as friend. Dont let anyone bring you down. We are your friends :)

I dunno if my classmates are treating me nicely...but the majority of people liking me is way more than the number of people that hates me.
As for my family, yeah they treat me very nicely; to the fact that they're being over-protective and lies about the some family matters to avoid misunderstanding.

But seriously, if you aren't being treated the way you think you should be treated (the words right and wrong don't neccessarily mean the same thing to everyone in this situation) stand up fo yourself or stop hanging out with those people. Just becuase you've hung out with them for this many years or something it doesn't mean their your friends. People love to have someone around to pick on so they can feel better about themselves. and if its parents or siblings, well there's always college, look for a place to study FAR away from those people.
As for me, I take the asshole approach, whoever is bothering me, I just ignore them or treat them even worse. But then again I have the enjoyable ability of not giving a shit what people think of me, becuase they will never know what you go through and what you have been through.

As for me, it depends. I get treated right, but it's weird sometimes. Like everyone says "Oh well your a moron, so ur opinion doesn't count". Though it is all in fun (I think), it gets annoying after a while. I do act like a moron on purpose sometimes though....

Can't say I've been treated poorly. Then again I've done a great job avoiding "complicated" situations. I've seen girls who have been treated poorly by guys (the ones that think girls should be seen and not heard), but what bothers me as that these girls don't do anything to help themselves.

Because people need to hate. And people need scapegoats to blame for shortcomings in their society or themselves.
Equality is such a quaint subject. We can discuss it all we want but things will never change. you've all heard the saying 'Two things in life are certain: Death and taxes" well they forgot about ignorance and intolerance, becuase those will always be around.

My friends treat me OK I guess... they don't listen to my opinions on important matters that much because I act like an idiot, and when I tell them that I'm actually smarter than most people, they don't beleive me.
My family... is... mean to me... But why would I care what they think? I haven't cared for years.... che. Who needs family bonds? My friends make up for it tenfold.
People here can wear those things... (I feel bad because I don't know what they're called). Its part of there relegion, and people around here (MD) respect that.
also the thing is i am the only child, no brother of sis :(

A hundred years ago minorities still weren't getting jobs getting, killed and being called spiks and niggers and chinks etc, etc.
Racism is still alive and thriving. Just because of the Civil Rights act and slavery being abolished, doesn't mean people are being treated equally, that was just a tiny step in the right direction, and that's all that's happened since then, tiny steps.

Blearghz anyways, so far I treat everyone the same... except for the mentally challenged people (just dont like to call them retards) cause I used to volunteer back at school and these people are just brilliant. They may be slower in their mental aspect but otherwise, they're just as normal as we are and cute too :D Try having 20-30yr olds calling you elder bro/sis when you should be calling them that lol!
Now how others treat me I dont care. As long as youre straight forward about it lol. I hate people who beats around the bush. Ive came across a few bad characters once in awhile but who cares... they'll step out of my life as soon as they step in :D
Family treats me well hohoho... Im the eldest and the only girl and I escape doing the household chores! Hohohoho! Relationship wise... lets just say overall is good :)

EDT: racism is still openly accepted, just in less overt ways. Racial Profiling is still going strong all across the U.S.. I love getting pulled over for no reason, too :mad:

It is human nature to point out any differences in someone such as mental status or skin color and it sucks. I will give credit though that rasism is down from where it was about 100 years ago but it is still present down south where they still have clans and stuff.

I grew up with video games, I have two sisters and just 1 brother, but still the 4 of us always played games. I worked in a video game store for two years, and although among the 7 or 8 employees, there were only 3 girls who worked there, that is still more than most EBs have that I have seen.
A lot of girls are just too shallow to play games because they just want to look in the mirror and flirt with guys.
With university it's hard to have time to play many games, but I do have my gameboy to entertain me at school when I am not studying.
And also to stick to the topic, my friends treat me really well. My Mother is also really good to me. I don't have a boyfriend right now, but my last boyfriend didn't treat me good at all. All the mental abuse really damaged my self esteem and I have trouble being in social situations (Social anxiety disorder), which I was perfectly fine being in before I met that guy. Even though I know he was just abusive because of his own lack of self worth, I still wonder if what he said was true, and it makes me feel like no one will ever like me if they get to know me.
If anyone is in a relationship where the guy/girl insults them or makes them feel bad when they didn't do anything wrong (the other person maybe cheated or lied, and then blames you for deserving it), get out of the relationship right away. You cannot get the other person to understand how you feel, it will just cause serious emotional damage. I thought that I loved the guy and since he told me he loved me, that he would realize what he was doing to me and then treat me nice...but of course even after 2 years it never happened. My family and friends helped me to see that I wasn't bad, and I didn't deserve to be treated that way.
Since this is depressing I will try to make it happy. Right now I have a lot of good friends, and I enjoy school. I also enjoy watching Naruto : )
