Both are masters at their own style and weapons, though weakened and near death...

Diaz can block out Muramasa's mind reading with kabuto... Who will win?

Well... Split a city in half with one throw of the Black Wing. That's no special moves or anything. He can throw it miles away, and control exactly when and where it comes back. He can also cause it to split into eight and cause them to converge on one point after he throws it. It always comes back to his hand.

He caught a lightsaber (that melted stone instantly) in his bare hands, and held it there. He can deflect large ki blasts easily, and create pretty powerful barriers. As stated in the OP, Kabuto guards his mind from psychic intrusion perfectly. Even without using it though, psychic abilities specifically designed to see through his moves weren't able to catch him when he used super speed. He speed-blitzed a guy who was much faster than Elle or Gau (both fast enough to disappear and leave afterimages). He's got Cannon, an attack that bypasses barriers, just incase the other guy has something. He's also physically stronger than Elle, who split what was essentially a mountain in half.

He could use kamui, which dissapears and spreads into about 6 black wings, followed by a sword(flying kick) speed up by the black wing. Thanks to bitviper

Muramasa can't read his thoughts, then what i want to know is the speed of Muramasa, considering he was the highest of Taishirou means he was stronger than both Hishigi and Fubuki(if i remember correctly he WAS head of taishirou right ?) so his speed should be about the speed of light, Hishigi was at the speed of light, so muramasa can be alittle below that or alittle above that, but enough so he could fight Hishigi atleast(im assuming)

is this fast enough to avoid Diaz's attacks ? and is it enough to fight him in close combat?

Well Muramasa is strong enough and for sure one of the two strongest of the Taishirou but I don't think he is strongest I believe his brother in law, Fubuki is the strongest since he inherited the strongest technique of the Taishirou! and by the way from where you did get that Hishigi can move at the speed of light, don't tell me ur depending on the crappy scan that was provided in the battle of Kyo vs Saga :P and it doesn't mean Muramasa is as fast as Hishigi

Well I don't think Diaz have the light speed or things near to this level but there was a character in Shadow Skill who is known as Scarface, was capable of doing things that lightspeeders can do for example he did almost the same thing as Aldebaran did against Pegasus Seiya from the anime Saint Seiya, he was standing without moving but the giant were wolf were hit multiple times by Scarface, and then he moved quickly and the demon was cut into pieces. Even the lowest level characters in that series are in the "I spin around and create tornadoes, leave afterimages, etc etc" league, and Scarface is one of the top tier fighters. Diaz is almost as strong as Scarface but I personally believe Scarface is stronger...

Just for one more speed feat; an ordinary Kurudan soldier was able to punch fast enough that the air pressure knocked down guys about twenty feet away.

Well Muramasa is strong enough and for sure one of the two strongest of the Taishirou but I don't think he is strongest I believe his brother in law, Fubuki is the strongest since he inherited the strongest technique of the Taishirou! but think of it this way, Mumyou Jinpuu Ryuu is the strongest style there is so that kinda gives Muramasa a big advantage, and we don't know if Muramasa knew that heart stabbing thing :amuse and by the way from where you did get that Hishigi can move at the speed of light, don't tell me ur depending on the crappy scan that was provided in the battle of Kyo vs Saga :Pwell, there, and some other point of the manga its mentioned also and it doesn't mean Muramasa is as fast as Hishigi that's why i said alittle faster or alittle slower, i mean if he is WAY slower he wouldn't be able to face Hishigi since hishigi is like xx times faster than he is, and thats the reason i said i was assuming also :P

cool, so we can say they are about equal speed, or atleast a speed both of them can handle in a fight. now it breaks down to what might happen, being the big sdk fan i am im sad to say im leaning towards diaz due to his freaky strength :/

murmasa's probably not that fast anymore since he's tremendously weakened. even relatively weak characters in sdk can avoid lightning bolts though. which nothing in ss has displayed directly(ss char just showed they can dissapear which almost everyone in the mibu/forest dwellers can do)

i would say diaz is in better shape. muramasa dropped after performing one mizuchi. diaz had his blood vessels in his legs ruptured and still managed to perform his ultimate technique before falling. but i guess muramasa still managed to teach kyo for a day and lasted a week after that.
