I must say I'm happy to finally see a FF7 vs. thread that isn't totally one sided *cough*CloudvsLinkandSephyvsZabuza*cough*. It must be because Psysalis is a fan of FF7 (or at least Sephy judging by his Avatar).

This would be a very good fight, both are expert marksmen with incredible power. However, if Materia is allowed then I would have to give this to Vincent. Vash has his gun arm, and lets assume it can one shot Vincent (although there is some question as to whether or not it would if you pay attention to the ridiculious things FF7 characters are hit by). Vincent can still auto-revive with a Phoenix summon 4 or 5 times, this would set Vash on fire, and how many times can he use his gun arm in a row? 4 or 5? Vincent would just need one Knights of the Round to smear Vash across the landscape.

If no Materia is involved then Vash would take this, his gun arm is quite powerful after all.

If its just skill, no gun arm and no materia (probably no limit break as well, his aren't exactly skill based)...I'm more apt to say a tie, until I learn more about Vash's capabalities, my knowledge of him isn't so great.

Nyat pretty much summed it up there. Vince has his limit breaks, and Vash has his gun arm. If limit breaks are excluded, Vash wins. If Vash wasn't able to use his gun arm for some reason, Vince wins. Otherwise, I'd say it would be a draw.
