Best Opening To An Anime

First, I am not a fan of Japanese music. Just so you know. But, I must say that "For Fruits Basket" is the best opening for an anime ever. That song is so f'n beutiful! Discuss.

The greatest intro of all-time is Great Teacher Onizuka's first opening - "L'arc~en~ciel - Driver's High". Honorable mentions are "Ritsuko Okazaki (rip) - For Fruits Basket", "Asian Kung Fu Generation - Rewrite" (fullmetal alchemist) and "L'arc~en~ciel - Ready Steady Go" (fma).

Naruto's second intro (Haruka Kanata) rocks your socks off.

FMA's third intro (or is it 4th?) Is quite good as well (The one that goes something like "Douke! Douke!")

For it's genré (that is, i don't like the song exactly but they fit) Kimi Ga Nozomu eien's and Aoi Yori Aoshi is good.

I also love Witch hunter: Robin's intro.

Ghost in the Shell SAC 1st opening (from what I've seen it's the only one)
It's a good song, sung by someone with a beautiful voice.
I also like DBZ's Cha La Head Cha La (not sure on the name)
And the music that plays while they go over what happened during the previous episode.

"Rumbling Hearts" is such a fantastic song-- the way it's played at the end of the second episode totally describes the atmosphere of the show. A song that sounds like it would really be upbeat and happy, infact has lyrics about losing a loved one and being depressed.

to me, Moment (Gundam Seed OP 2) was the best one cuz it had pretty tight animation in it. didnt like the beginning of OP2 though (where they show the characters in like those "sad" poses).

I'm not into J-pop but when I started to watch naruto, I must admit that J-rock rocks. I like almost all anime openings with J-rock, eg FMA, naruto, they are really good. Now the latest will be Bleach opening by orange range. (hopefully i can find the complete version)
