I've been a fan of the anime for the last 10 years and the game for the past 8-9 years. The anime series has gone through lots of up and downs but throughout all that, I've come to enjoy the series, so feel free to discuss the series (what you like or hate about this series).

I have to admit. I was indeed addicted to Pokemon. I had the official Handbook and all the little figures and everything. (btw, i still do) and i would sing that crappy theme song every time it came on. I would record all the episodes. And everytime it would say "who's that pokemon?!" I would always be guessing out-loud waiting for the commercials to be over. heh. then I got plain pissed off at the show after the 2nd movie. Misty left...never got her bike back...ash never became a pokemon master....they kept coming out with more pokemon...I kept running out of money. So I was all like "screw it. this is dumb" So to this day forward, I really REALLY dis-like pokemon. Although every now and then I'll watch some of the old episodes...heheh T.T

I agree completely about the fact that it got cheesier as it progressed. Once there were more than 150 I got disallusioned with it... >.<

I never really felt an incredible urge to get up early to watch it, I was like that with Megaman though. 6 a.m. every weekend just to see it! ;) :D :rolleyes:

I was addicted to the game. Pokemon Gold killed my sleep cycle. I played it all night, every night. I think I only slept at most 4 hours a day in those days.

Yeah, I miss the old episodes. I still like em if I watch em and I still find the new episodes incredibly cheesy. Everything was still fresh in the first series, and not everyone was friends. If Ash tried to make Pikachu do something he didn't want to, he'd get shocked. Misty and Brock teased Ash and Misty beat them both up on a regular basis, although mainly Ash. The first series was great, it was interesting, funny and original, then they made more than 150 pokemon, Charmander evolved and Togepi was introduced.

I admit it, when the show first came out I thought those Pokemon were the most adorable things on the face of the planet. I think the show was kind of cheesy to begin with, but it just got extremely mind-numbingly repetitive. How many times can one hear the same Team Rocket motto over and over before going insane?

Of course I was addicted! I had a lot of Pokemon cards and those Japanese "Pokemon Vacation" sets that came with 3 cards and a postcard. I also remember when it first came out on UPN with the St. Anne episode ... dang, I miss that show.

I don't have anything to hide, I still watch pokemon. The show does get kind of repetitive, but there's something about it that keeps drawing me back. I'm also wtaching the new season. And yes I still play and buy the games as well. I think there are people who watched it as just a fad, but the show has some appealing qualities, and I'm thinking geesh "when will ketchum finnally win at all" and the sad part is that he may never will.

OMG... in grade 6 I used to go to school 1/2 an hour away from my house, and I used to rush home all the time just to watch pokemon. I practically begged for all of the GBC games... >_<' What a waste all of it was.

I did watch quite a few episodes back in its heyday (when I was in 7th grade). Fortunately even then I had an eye for crappy dubs, therefore I stuck mainly to playing the Game Boy game.

I didn't get up to watch it, I just taped it with the VCR timer...that was 6, 7 years ago.

They're still cute, but some of those newer ones seem to be getting uglier...and the episodes became all pretty much fillers...

Some people may remember it, but some time in 1997, an episode of pokemon aired and caused about 700 people to have convulsions and such. It was banned on tv. and all pokemon products were taken down from stores. I've seen it, yet it had no effect on me whatsoever :blink . Has anyone else seen it? and do u have any clue where the epsiode can be bought? I must have it!!!!

I was always wondering how that episode gave people seizures. I was tempted to download it once, but thought I might get a seizure... Actually, I was doubtful but I didn't want to take the risk.

But it's just the colors blue and red alternating, how can that cause seizures?

If anyone is interested in the science behind malicious pokemon-induced seizures, it's because certain patterns of flashing lights can induce destructive brainwave patterns in individuals with Epilepsy. If you dont have epilepsy, the lights wouldn't affect you. How do you know if you have it? You don't, unless people tell you that you space out when staring at patterns of blinking lights, or you have memory lapses.

On a related note, anyone remember the Simpsons eppy where they went to Japan, and watched Battling Seizure Robots on tv? :D

if you saw it on computer it wont be going at 60 Frames/sec so your missing frames there so it was really going like twice as fast so you shouldnt be affected from it *has seen it* and even people without Epilepsy had seizures from it

oooh just to let you guys know at the begining of Naruto there is that line of japanese text is accually a seizure warning most anime that airs in japan has that warning because of this ep

This is old news. There's no way this episode would available now. I never watched that episode. I did however had the honor of watching the japanese news people informing the public about this news. They showed the part of the episode that gave people seizure and caused even more seizures!! :rofl

Hmm, yes. And they also banned the episode where the Tentacruel were knocking down the buildings in some city, claiming it was too violent. They also banned the episode where the gang were at the beach and James was wearing inflatable breasts.

When did they ban the Tentacruel episode? Back in the day, I've seen that episode more times than the amount of fingers I have. And I have.... one, two, three, four... ten fingers! So wait, maybe less...

I have also seen the tentcruel episode many times. even at the beginning of the first season opening, they have a part of it on there. I remember the one with James' fake breast being banned too. also, the episode with Brock getting sick was cancelled for a while because it was during the time of sars (sp?). man i want that seizure episode...I'm sure its out there some where. :rolleyes

At this point I doubt it. Hakura (May) seems to be a fan favorite and doubt that kasumi will come back permanently.But who knows after the advanced generation series, we don't really know what satoshi and the gang will be up to or what the group is going to look like.

I don't remember anything about that. They always make movies for each generation and the eight movie (mew and the wave) is coming out this year in theaters (Japan) July 16th. This movie makes 3 for the advanced generation series. As long as they keep coming out with new pkmn episodes and new series then movies will keep rolling along. The only non-related pokemon epis that don't count are the specials (i.e. HOSO specials: 28 episodes so far, and the raikou special)

yeah pokemon is still going, it's not as popular as it was in the U.S. back ('97) but new episodes are still coming out. Japan is about a year ahead of us (of course...) and I don't see the anime ending anytime soon.

Well the fans (epscially those in Japan seem to like her). And the pokemon contests add a different element to the anime. So, instead of just having Ash go for his usual 8 badges, May must collect at least 4 ribbons to qualify for the grand festival. Don't get me wrong I like Misty better than May, but I don't honestly see her coming back for good (at least not anytime soon). And as for Misty ruining Brock's game, that task was passed on to Max, (after seeing Misty doing it when she came back for those two episodes).

lol. i have no idea. im still watching the movie and everything was done nicely. the animation is great, team rocket is less annoying in this movie than they were in the other movies, and the story makes sense. one thing im confused on is, if that green pokemon attacked deoxys because it was afraid that deoxys was gonna take over its territory.....why did that pokemon after four years come back and attack deoxys in a place [maruce city] that doesn't belongs to him? basically, why did he come back?

EDIT: was i the only one who thought pluso minus looked cool and cute?

The movie is pretty good. I like the fact that none of Ash's pokemon were featured, although they did show a couple of Ash's (and May's) pokemons evolution's that have yet to be shown in the U.S. (i.e. taillow-swellow, Treecko=Grovyle, Torchic=Combusken), but they were brief, so not an real issue. It is defintely better than the sixth movie that came yesterday on CN.

It was the Jirachi Wishmaker movie. Max befriends a pkmn named Jirachi and a scientist fomerly from Team Magma needs Jirachi's power to awaken Grouden. The pokemon hero movie was the 5th one, I think...

Naruto:

Better battles
Better characters
More in depth story

Don't get me wrong, I love pokemon, the show has just gotten so craptacular. Love the games though.

Naruto is the best anime I've seen. The first season of Pokemon was good but it became too much after a while. I think Stellvia of the universe is an awsome anime, one of my favourites. It's allmost as good as Naruto.

naruto w/out a doubt. pokemon has no chracter development and for me almost no plot. how long as it been since ash started out? and how old is he now? they keep adding more seasons to it. after the first coupla eps it got really lame. each eps is just about the same. some eps are completely random. in fact the longer the series goes, the stupider the newew pokemon become

Obviously people say so and so has no character devlopment and not as indepth while defending thier favorite show...

Well I can't say I really watched much pokemon. Sure I watched over 100 episodes of the dub... and actually liked it then...(That was a few years ago...). Though I do like Naruto better but I won't say it is more indepth or has a better character development as I don't really remember much of Pokemon to simply assume that.

you dont remember because there´s not much to remember... Naruto is really in another league from Pokemon...

Pokemon, while I admit is entertaining, opted for recycling the story so it would run forever... 1st and 3nd seasons were good, and even the 3rd one... because one actually imagined the story progressing... after you realize it wont, you simply stop watching. The good news is that you can tune in anytime and have a good time.

even yugioh has a deeper story and character development(one could not tell by the butchered dub) than pokemon.

This is coming from a legitimate pokemon fan who continues to watch the series both in the US and the season currently airing in japan; and who has bought nearly every game that has come out (w/ a few exceptions: anything that has pinball, puzzle, hey you or channel in the name). But Naruto is a better anime than pokemon. Pokemon is too simplistic and a bit repetitive at times (more so than most animes, anyways). Don't get me wrong I still like the series, but this isn't much of a contest between the two.

Ok, i have noticed that Pokémon is just going nuts. The first few episode's where good. But then more and more pokémon came. How much do they have now #700? And why does Ash never go away? He's been in every season.

Well, I'm not ashamed to admit I still watch the latest Raws coming out of Japan. What's my motivation, I'm really not sure, it's part curiosity, part habit. I just want to see if Ash finnally wins a pkmn league, because basically the series, well, be close to an end if he ever does xD And each season, he gets closer and closer and you have a feeling that he's going to win one eventually...*avoids any spoilers >_>*

Yeah, the only thing Colosseum was good for was getting certain pokemon, that couldn't be aqcuired any other way; it helped complete my pokedex for the 3rd generation games (Ruby/sapphire) and the remakes Leaf green/Fire Red. To tell you the truth I haven't played colosseum in months. I just got what I wanted from it...(legendary Dogs, Ho-Oh, and johto pokemon) and left forgot about it :laugh

I'll probably do the same thing with the Pokemon: Gale of Darkness game. And yes, I still battle other trainers at school, :omg

Yeah, I can imagine my students (college students!!!) looking at me weird. xD

I beat the entire game and got all the pokemon I wanted without any frustration, the only downside is that you're not surprised as much. Since the walkthrough's gives you all the tips needed to defeat the enemies, catch pokemon, and where you have to go...

:oh There are that many versions of the game too? I only know of Red (I had this one xD), Blue, Yellow, and Gold (My brother has this one). Isn't all the games basically the same thing, you fight the Gym teachers and collect Pokemons?

I used to watch Pokemon.. back when it was supposed to go somewhere plot wise... but looks like they decided to turn the franshise forever... so the plot got removed, so its just a new place and new gyms and pokemon... nothing ever happens.

The interesting part was the rivalry with blue and the gym battles were actually good /entertaining... but both disappeared from the show... sad really.

I find it funny that when anyone talks about Pokemon it's most primarily the dub adaption with the dubbed names :P I guess that make me lame if I know that Ash's japanese name is Satoshi. Anyway I liked the first 100 eps after that you know the story it got redundant and more or less recycled. Maybe it's because all rights were given to Nintendo who knows (but most likely). The games however are adicting and I'm not ashamed to say that I love playing them. Though I never got into the card thing. Is May character really just fanservice? That explains a lot.

While I agree that Pokemon may be 'getting out of hand' in some departments [repetitive TV show, silly card game] the games themselves are at least half decent, though tedious at times.

I used to like pokemon long ago but now, it is just too boring. All he does is meet some new character, then get attacked by team rocket, say bye to character. Then the same thing happens again but he meets someone new.

Narrator: "Ash and his friends journey closer to -town-."

Ash: "I'm hungry/tired/anxious to get there."

Misty: (response to hunger): "You just ate!"

(response to tired): "We hardly even walked anywhere!"

Brock: (response to anxious): "We're lost again." (could also be combined with one of the above)

They get to a small house in the middle of nowhere. 75% of the time, there's a lot of pokemon around it. 75% of those times, the Pokemon are common.

It branches in two ways from here:

1. A guy, who looks like every other non-main character, comes out of the house and greets them. He then introduces them to his daughter/sister/female co-worker, -name-.

Brock: "-name-! It's too beautiful! Want to go out?"

Misty: *pulls Brock's ear* * says random rejection line*

2. Female: "Hello, my name is -name-."

Continue from first Brock line in 1. Normally no male involved.

Both come back into:

Ash: "I'm Ash."
Misty: "I'm Misty."
Brock: "I'm Brock."
Ash: "And this is Pikachu."
Pikachu: "Pika!"

Sometimes it comes before 1. and 2.

First to greet them: "I just met you guys, and Brock here is hitting on my daughter/sister/female co-worker/me, but you guys can come in to eat anyway."

Inside, they talk about what the people who live there do. Normally the only variety these shows get.

TR, after an optional "I'm hungry" scene, hears them talking. They decide to steal the Pokemon in the surrounding area, about 50% of the time wild and legit.

They use another giant robot to capture a bunch of the Pokemon. Ash yells at them, whether the Pokemon were wild or not, they take Pikachu, TR theme, Pikachu uses Thunderbolt, something rubber is stopping the attack, sometimes a light bulb is involved. Ash, Misty, or Brock send out someone else, destroys everything, and sends TR into their balloon if they aren't there already, Pikachu is free, and Thunderbolts them.

TR: "Team Rocket's blasting off again"

Wobaffet: "Wobbaaa!"

Everyone says goodbye to whoever lives there, and walk away into the morning light.

I admit, I still like the games. They are great time fillers and have good replay value. Now, the show, on the other hand is a different story. The plot is pretty much repetitive, as Ash usually meets a new character, Team Rocket attacks and gets beaten, Ask and company say their goodbyes, then episode over. Then, after about 10-15 episodes of this, he will finally get to the next gym and win, if not, lose then try again and win, then he goes on to the next one, thus the whole cycle comes into effect again.

You'd think Team Rocket would just give up by now and go find some other thing to do, or perhaps a new career entirely. As for me, I check back and watch every 30 episodes or so, just to see where Ash is at. I admit, I still want to see what will become of Ash, and if he ever becomes the best. Originally, when I first started watching, I figured the series finale would be a big battle between him and Gary, thus solving the rivalship. Seeing as Ash finally beat him, I guess that's out of the question now.

I stopped watching the series 2 years ago. Every 10 eps I would watch and note how crappy it got. Now, there are at least 25 dubbed theme songs! 25!

I admit, it was the only 4Kids dub that was BETTER than the other dubs (Sonic X, Shaman King, etc). And the fact they used the original Japanese VA for Pikachu was alarming as well.

But Pokemon's dead. The fact the animators are still working on it is INSANE

I heard about a new show called Pokemon Chronicles that's been out in Japan but supposed to come out here in the US. It follows other character's adventures like Casey's, Misty's, Tracey's,, etc(a lot of y's eh?). One other thing, did they ever find out what the big deal was with the GS Ball? Last time I checked, they gave it to Kurt, but haven't heard anything since...

Oh yeah, I saw a Japanese version of one. The main character was the guy from G/S/C, Kenta. The movie was just two TR guys (not the mainstream ones) trying to capture Raikou three times. Even that was repetitive, but at least it's a break from Satoshi.

I'm goign to sound stupid, but I still love Pokemon. I never liked it when it was popular. I started to like it when I was in 7th or 6th grade. I still collect Pokemon stuff and watch it on tv. And I sit here as I'm typing this listening to one of the songs.

But I do have to admit, the story is the same every episode. Which can make things a bit boring. And some of the characters annoy me sometimes.

Unlike most you you guys, I like that Team Rocket is in every episode, even when unsessisary, because they are my favorite characters and what first made me like Pokemon.

Once I've had a little kid tell me I was stupid because I still liked it, oh well.

What are you talking about :S though I also don't watch this show avidly I recently checked an episode guide out of curiosity to see how many episodes they are up to now and whether it's Advanced, or Johto, or Orange Islands collectively there is 700 something episodes to date don't believe me check here: http://pokemon.com/flash.asp though I may never give the same appreciation to the show the games rock and are very addicting :P though nintendo is in control of pokemon they should know they can make just as much money from it whether there's a show or not just way they've done with mario.

There's a new series of Pokemon, Pokemon Chronicles or something, that follows events that happened to other characters at the same time the main series was going on. So for example, is some episodes you follow Misty after her leaving Ash and Co. and returning to Cerulean City, in others you follow Richie, etc.

I personally would like it if Kenta, the main character of the third of these specials, was the main character. He's badass compared to Satoshi/Ash.

That Richie (or Hiroshi in the original) ep. you downloaded is indeed a special ep. It's part of a kind of separate series to the main Pocket Monsters anime, that follows the characters not including Ash and the gang (Ash [Satoshi], Brock [Takeshi], May [Haruka], and Max [Masato]). There've been eps. about Misty (Kasumi), Shigeru (Gary), Richie (Hiroshi), and I think they might've had a couple with Cassidy and Butch (Yamato and Kosaburo).

Btw, where did you find that? I've been freaking dying to see the Hoso specials since they came out with the Takeshi special!

I used to love Pokemon too. But I just really thought Ash, Misty and Tracy were the dullest characters in the world ever! I still occasionally watch pokemon now because it's on Toonami all the time. The episodes we've got in the UK are following the ruby/saphire games and Ash is about to try the new league.

Clearly the best thing about pokemon is Team Rocket! And in the early episodes the pokemon kareokee-mon and the poke-raps. Which still make me laugh to this day at the sheer genious/cheesyness of it. Also you gotta love Brock he's a ladies man.

Ok, as a few of you may already now, the DVD of the new Pokemon movie has hit the stores in japan, so I was wondering... how much time until some fansub group translates it? I have looked for it all around the web with no luck. Could it be that no one is interested in this? :cry

If you guys already saw it, post your opinion on the movie please! :)
And of course, if you know where can I download it (torrent or whatever) I'll be very grateful ^^

Anyway, I don't think that anyone will sub it except for the group who's subbed some episodes for pocketmonsters.net. This is pretty amazing. I seriously think Pokemon was 4Kids's biggest source of income, with Yugioh as a secondary. Plus, with poorly dubbed shows like Tokyo Mew Mew, Shaman King (these two I only hear about), and One Piece, it's possible that the company may soon go out of business.

Wishful thinking, including the fact that I hope Pokemon USA is better at dubbing than 4Kids.

It's an AWESOME movie. It's fun, entertaining and really contains all of those elements that makes a Pokemon movie Pokemon.:D I didn't watch it raw, so I was able to fully enjoy the story and dialogue of the movie along with the animation and sound. I can definitely see why this movie was ranked 3rd on Japan's weekly top 10 for so and so many weeks straight. What did you guys, who've seen it, think?

Yeah, I had the raw for a few weeks now, and I held off on downloading the sub for a couple more, but once I did, I watched it pretty soon after. It's a bit more difficult to work in a 1 hour and 40 minute movie rather than a 20 minute episode.:P

Movies 4-7 came out 1-4 years ago.:P I liked this one more than those, but... it may be because I saw all of those dubbed while I watched this one subbed.

I liked how they used the Time Flowers to show flashbacks and gradually reveal the pieces to the puzzle explaining just why Aron left him behind. It's also interesting to see how they'll work the plot.:amuse From watching the previous movies, I know that they have one main problem to take care of, but once that's reached, there's an even greater emergency that they have to deal with.

Oh, and the Regis were a surprise.:P Hehe, it was also sort of fun watching them being chased by Regirock, Registeel, and Regice.XD They way they said their names was pretty cool too, in my opinion. Of course, Rukario was very cool by showing off his mastery of the "Wave".:amuse

In my opinion, the 2nd movie was not that good. Not that much battling.:P

Mew isn't with Mewtwo. In Mewtwo Returns, Mewtwo is only with the other cloned Pokemon, no Mew. So Mew could pretty much be anywhere, although it hasn't made a movie appearance since the first one.

The third movie was the one with Entei and the Unown... and lots of battling.:P

I didn't really like the Latios and Latias movie since it also had no battling. I didn't like the Celebi movie too much... although it was a somewhat interesting plot and had some battling, but the background and 3D effects just seemed somewhat out of place. The Groudon movie was not that good in my opinion. I fell asleep while watching it, so I've never seen the whole thing.:notrust I didn't really like the Deoxys movie either... although I must admit that I didn't pay too much attention to it while it was on, so it might've actually been more interesting. So seeing this movie with Rukario:P just seemed like a HUGE step up in terms of Pokemon movies.

In my opinion, it was very cool and interesting to see a Pokemon war. It just really helps to flesh out more of the Pokemon world instead of viewing the relationship between Pokemon and people as being a perfect one.

The first three movies were the best.
- First movie was good because it had pokemon and their evil clones duking it out plus the emotional scene when Ash turned to stone.
- Second movie was good because you had the three legendary birds against Lugia. That fight was awesome.
- Third movie I loved because of the Charizard vs Entei fight.
- The second Mewtwo movie was really boring and I didn't like it. Nothing actually happened. It was a pointless movie and a waste of my time.
- The fourth to me was boring as hell and I didn't even bother finishing it.
- Fifth was kind of boring. Team Rocket as villains is getting dull. The only thing I liked about it was when Latias kissed Ash which I found pretty sweet.
- Sixth was boring. The Salamence vs Flygon battle was the only thing that kept it alive for me.
- Seventh was interesting... The Deoxys and Rayquaza fights were good and I liked the double between Ash and the kid vs the guys with the Blaziken and Blastoise. Even though it was nice to see Ash lose, I felt sorry for Torkoal. Torkoal doesn't get enough respect in the show. :(
- Haven't seen the eight.

The main thing I liked about the Celebi movie was that Ash and company met Professor Oak from when he was a kid.:amuse Although, from listening to the director's comments,XD they did add in additional scenes in the American release to clarify that Sam is actually Professor Oak. In the original version, I heard that the viewers had to sort of stretch it in order to connect the two. The American release just helped to clarify things.
Actually in the original version it was obvious in a subtle way that Yukinari was the young Ookido-Hakase, while the dub had all the subtlety of an 18 wheeler.

I loved this movie, Lucario kicked ass! It was a really great movie, second only to the first AG Movie(6th overall), "The Wishing Star of Seven Nights- Jirachi".

I love this series, I like getting the weekly raws from pocketmonsters.net
Unfortunately, I can't use bittorent at my college, and their channel doesn't work for me, so I haven't seen any of the actual episodes since the Pokemon Orienteering one a month ago. Does anyone know a way without using bt to get the raws?

I've probably already been to that site since I have the eighth movie, but I finally got enough sense knocked into me and downloaded the latest ep. Wow. I didn't realize how much I missed Pokemon. I haven't kept up with the dub or visited a Pokeforum since who knows, but after watching it my Pokefandom has been revived. I don't even think there was anything particularly special about the ep. other than the fact it's Pocket Monsters and holy carp you can't go wrong with Pocket freaking Monsters, believe it. I'm definitely getting the previous other eps.

Now that I think of it, does NF have a Pokemon FC? After watching this and enduring some heat for my Pokefandom in the Digimon FC, I'd really love to join one.

Yeah, Pocket Monsters is great, and Advanced Generation has been even greater then the original series was, imho.

The latest episode(Battle Palace) was pretty good, my one dissapointment was Heracross losing. But Satoshi hadn't returned him at the end of the episode, maybe he'll stick around, since Satoshi's current team is just 5.

The anime's actually really stepped it up even further lately, there have been almost no filler episodes. Next weeks is just like the second filler episode since November!

Watched some of the previous eps., and yeah, I'm totally loving AG. Battle Frontier's pretty cool, and I love seeing the first gen Pokemon again. *squees at Haruka having a freaking Eevee* And yah, someone should SO sub Pocket Monsters because it's awesome.

Lol. The next episode looks completely crazy... "Usohachi King and Manene Queen", WTF? :P

I still haven't gotten over the fact that Heracross lost. If he gets Oaked right away after that, I'll be angry. >_< And we have yet another Solar Beam user, hooray... Jukain was pretty cool in this ep though, I have to admit.

I kind of expected Heracross to lose, for some reason. Ukon's Fushigibana is just fierce looking, and Heracross looks just dorky in comparison. I know looks aren't a good, substantial enough basis for anything, but it was just a gut feeling I had. Jukain was cool in this ep. Ah, but maybe he won't use Solar Beam that much. Maybe Satoshi will only have him use it when absolutely necessary. It's kind of a slow move, and Jukain seems the type to pull off quick, consecutive attacks.

About next week, I know, really. And Takeshi crying and everyone else generally acting crazy. Next ep. should be fun.

Fufufu, watching AG is making me fall in love with Takeshi-kun all over again. Ah, the good ol' middle school days...

Actually, I see NO way that Venusaur could've beaten Heracross except for the plot.:S Besides Solarbeam being weak against bug types, Heracross also has a high special defense, so Solarbeam would definitely NOT have that sort of effect on Heracross unless he just weakened Venusaur so much that it activated Overgrow to increase Solarbeam's power by 1.5 and then also got a critical hit in on Heracross. Still... it would've only been 210 possible damage from Solarbeam. How did I get 210? 120 base attack plus the 1.5 increase (180) plus the 2x critical damage which would add on an additional 120 making it 420. Halve that due to the type match-up and it would be 210. I think I got the critical damage right. It has been a while since I looked it up though.

Anyway... yeah, no way that Heracross would've lost to Venusaur only to have Swellow take down Venusaur.:S Jukain was very cool though.:amuse At first I thought he was using Synthesis, but Solar Beam's better anyway.:P Now, there's only Corphish who's the only unevolved one among Ash's current party of pokemon. *sigh* Still, Jukain's probably going to be kicked out sometime after the Battle Arena stuff. He's "too strong" now. Oh well. Get Bulbasaur, Cyndaquil, Bayleef and Totodile back in there.:P They still need to evolve.

If this was the game, you'd be right, but its the anime. Another point of consideration is that Lucon keeps his Fushigibana with him, while Satoshi hasn't used Heracross since Jouto.

Heigani should definitely evolve, only one of Satoshi's AG Pokemon that isn't fully evolved with Juptile evolving to Jukain.

I 'd like the old ones like Fushigidane, Wakinoko, Hinorashi, and Bayleaft(don't forget Zenigame, either, even if it doesn't stay at the lab, its still his), but that's less likely.
Though who could have predicted Satoshi using his Gomazou again(which he barely used back when it was in Jouto), and it evolving into Donphan? Not me, that's for sure.

I'd' also like to see Haruka's Wakashamo and Zenigame evolve.(The animators teased us during the match against Wakana, when Wakashamo started glowing, only to reveal it had learned a new attack...Grr...).

Next week's episode looks pretty funny. That was one hilarious preview.
