With the series finale of My-Otome, I finally managed to complete my brainchild. :P It's an AMV focused on an important character of the series, Rena Sayers. Be aware that if you haven't seen Otome yet then this AMV will likely be spoilerific.

Title: Rena: Finale
Series: My-Otome

Music by: Alex and Jake Parker, Randy Edelman

I like that song.. very, mind if you can send it to me? cause that would work well with something i have in mind ( later projects)

allright i liked this video alot i give it a 3.80 out of 5. would have been perfect but there was a few turn offs.

When you had the narrartion parts in the footsteps you heard in the background could have been taken out.

also right after they are done talking when it went to tale of anguish it got REALLY loud that should have been re worked a bit.

also with arika talking to here self and the tears coming down, i felt that was a little out of placed. you could have added a sub title saying mother or something that would have impacted that part more.

also i would have hadded some flash effects at the end a little.. like when reto knocked the door down etc and when you had arika charge nina etc.. it would have added a much better effect.

though for a 2 mins some video was a good rena wrap up i must say.

did you do this in adobe? because if you did i would have suggested it using AVI with a divx 6.0 codec or AVI with Xvid ( MPEG 4) the quality would have been great.

also do not double encode! just to let ya know.

also can you tel me how you add your own subs? i so do not know how :( i heard it was easy but i never figured it out.

Her lips are moving but in the raw there isn't any sound coming out, but it's easy to tell what she is saying ^^

I still don't know how to get rid of the footsteps, but if I do then I'll promptly make a revision. As for the loudness, it's not really that loud, it's just that I silenced the music before it so you can hear the characters talk. :laugh

As for avi, I would use it, but I don't know how to crop the video with Adobe to produce that format. Premiere has pretty slick feature that allows you to export your video in Quicktime, Windows Media, or Real format and crop the video at the same time. To use any other format... I'm still working on it. :P

Thanks for the insight, though.

As for the music, I'll try and sort you out with that. I'll be back in a few minutes; need to take care of a few things first.

the loudness was to noticeable IMO could have kept it down a few notches or re worked around it to make it stream better through the AMV.

yea i rendered my videos in almost every format you can think of lol.. the croping thing is weird i am going to get told about it by 007vegeta ( maker of final conflict) on how to do it. But from what he told me its really simple to do and you do not start doing it till your AMV is finished.

the footsteps was that in the mp3 it self? or was that in the narrartion clips?

if it was in the mp3 it self then you would need software to edit all that out thats kinda a pain.

Very nice work, Aftersun. The video and audio synced in well as well as the kickass bgm. I forgot which movie it was used for. :P

Overall great! :thumbs

Heh, thanks for the comment, Youko. The last musical piece was from the movie Dragonheart, but I remember it from Mulan for some reason. :P

@SSJ3: The footsteps were in the actual audio of the (Otome) scene so there's not much I can do as of yet.

well if that was the case then i would have had them sync to something so it makes sense with the vid instead of leaving them in there.

there is a way to get that out of there but likke i said you need other software to do it and it can be somewhat of a pain.

great vid just work on the timeing / some effects to give it off and would be perfect :)
