I'v started watching naruto fansubs and would like to know why whenever somone says damn it! (by the subs) it sound like they say kasha but i look it up and the japanese translation for damn it is shimatta. Am i just hearing it wrong or what?

hmmm Sometime Shimatta can be subed as "dammit" or sometime "shit"
i guess it depends on the subbers :P

that wasn't really my question i said it sounds like they say kasha but it should be shimatta right?

Kasha? I always heard something along the line of "kso" with a slightly prolonged k.

It's "Kuso!" as I remember it. *remembers it from reading manga and doujin*

They say many different dammits depending on frustration etc.
So some common ones are,
Kuso (lit. means poop)
Shimatta (dammit)
Chikushou (damn) <---this one's prob the one you're thinking of..
