well, there have been quite a few so far so which arc is your favroite?
I have yet to finish up all the episode out yet, but i have to say the ending to the Jaya Arc was extremely satisfying. The Arabasta arc seemed to drag on a little too long for me.

Arabasta was awesome. I guess I didn't feel like it dragged on since I downloaded the episodes in batches of ten but yea it was pretty long. I'm watching Skypiea at the moment which is good too, but I miss the funny/interesting characters Arabasta had, like Mr. 2. I loved Gedatsu though, and can't wait for K-F to get to Luffy vs. Enel smile-big

Honestly? Drum Kingdom. Followed by Alabasta, then Skypiea.

Arlong and Drum Island are my favorite arcs just for sheer emotional punch.
I'd put Alabastor up there, but the dragging and the lack of deaths (you know who I refer to) really sucked it dry.
Skypedia is turning out pretty good, even if they knocked one of my favorite fighters (Sanji) out in like the first episode of the Time Battle. Bah...

heh ya, probaby my biggest problem with one piece is that no one ever dies. whats stoping captian kuro from going back to usopps island and owning it for example? it just feels like you dont get closure.
im surprised some people said drum island, i did not enjoy it that much tbh. the bad guys never seemed to be a real threat, though choppers life story was pretty interesting.

Kuro won't go back because if he did, then the people there would be suspicious. He wanted to gain everyone's trust, so that he would make them think that Kaya died, and gave him the money, and no one would think of it as strange.
Arlong may be dead. Hell, your argument for Kuro applies to Arlong.
But Pell and Wiper should have both died. Pell for the story, mostly, but Wiper just got the smackdown laid to him.

Pell and Wiper are the biggest "WTF's" in the series for me so far. I know that this is a tounge-in-cheek shounen anime about superhuman pirates, but those two took the biscuit. Pell moreso than Wiper. The guy was holding a 5 megaton nuke when it went off for crying out loud, and whatever happened to "a reject dial can kill its user as well as its opponent"? Wiper used it 3 friggin' times and was still able to stand when all was said and done...
The Arlong arc was the most emotional one for me, but overall either the Alabasta arc or the Skypiea arc is my favorite.

My main gripe with the Skypiea arc was that it felt too "distant" from the rest of the series. Enel was also far too overpowered imo, even for a Devils Fruit user. Probably the best part of it was the Norland sidestory.
I think I was expecting too much from it, and I was left perhaps a little disappointed..

But it was hugely important. Nami got the Waver, Usopp got the Dials, Zoro master 36 and 108 Pound Hou, Robin found another Poniglyph (sp?), and the crew made 300 million beli.

Im not desputing the fact that the whole ordeal was not important in the development of the story, just that it didn't seem as entertaining as other parts of the series, for the reasons I stated.

I don't really know the name of the arch since I have only seen a few but I love this arch with the mermen. I am about 2 hours away from finishing my download from episode 41-50 which i believe finishes the mermen arc and moves on to the next one.

Having finished this arlon arc I think I can safely say this is probally one of my all time favorite in all anime I have watched. It was really great seeing how protective lufie is and how much he put on the line for his nakama. I hope future arcs are as good.

alabasta is kind of like arlong but on a much more complex and grand scale.

My favorite was Little Garden, followed by Drum, and then Arlong.
Alabasta arc for me loved the luffy v croc battles
Really, the whole excursion on the baratie was fun, but i also like when you run into Ace...not sure what arc that is...and yeah, the Croc V Luffy fights are good too ^ ^

i follow K-F so i am in the middle of the skypiea arc
but i really liked the arabasta arc. Luffy vs croc is one of the best fights ever.
Arlong arc was great. finding out namis past and seeing luffy destroy that room that nami hated. and how he kicked Arlongs ass! i think this arc developed not only namis caracter but also Luffys, seeing how important a nakama really is to him.
and the skyppiea is turning out quite interesting, but i havent seen all of it so i cant say anything about it, exept that Enel rocks!

about what episode do these other episodes start. I am on episode 70 and just getting into little garden. I have heard alabasta mentioned but not skypiea on the show. You guys really have me hyped up for this.

Alabasta starts at around episode 90 and lasts around 40 episodes. Skypiea is about the same length, and that starts at around 150.
Skypeia isn't as good as Alabasta, imo.

I am 10 episodes into the alabasta arc and am really enjoying it. Ace should be a regular character.

This skypiea arc is probally my least favorite so far. The fights up to episode 170 just don't seem as meaningful. IMO the best fight of this arc was when he one punched the guy that stole the gold right before they left for skypiea

that was truly a great fight but the fact that he beat crockodile made the looks on there faces all that much sweeter

My favorite arc would have to be the Baroque Works Saga, the one where they were trying to help Princess Nefertari Vivi try to reach her homeland before a massive war breaks out. All they did in that saga was run away form the maines and Captain Smoke. I thought those parts were funny.

i agree, honestly skypiea felt kind of like a prolonged American History Lesson with the One Piece Characters inserted.
And my new Fav arc has to be the Water 7 arc.
Alabasta where Luffy pwns crocodile at the end and their bounties rise.

Well now that I have caught up to the manga I have to say arlong is still my favorite. I think arlong is the defining moment of all the battles to follow in OP.

water 7 is definitely the best...
it has all the emotion... the possible new crewmember... the fight.. the badass villain.. friendship.. betrayal.. internal dispute.. total annihilation.. best arc so far...
then
alabasta
skypiea
