Best/Worst Anime Dub

What's your favorite dub and what dub is so bad that it made your ears bleed?

Mine:
Best: FLCL and Cowboy Bebop
Worst: Crest/Banner of the Stars

Good dubs: FLCL was fantastic, probably the best out there, Cowboy Bebop was good as well, and unlike some people I enjoyed the Eva dub quite a bit.

Bad dubs: Get Backers has a mediocre dub, as does Pilot Canidate. They're so sketchy and the lip synching seems ways off. Samurai X's dub could have been better too.

But no seriously FOr a good action cartoon DBZ is pretty good but if your looking for depth and character depth it does not have that . But dont put it down it is good for what it was made for. The action is great in it and being a super sayien would be the bomb.

LOL your right about that but to be honest with you people got to look at it like how the actors do good in the voice acting and how they present the character not how the company Screwed it up by editing because we cant show that stuff to kids unlike japan can. People got to realize that.

I saw dragonball z dub,that was enough to put me off...
BUT some people find it easier to watch so I'm not bothered.You either hate dub or hate subs,or some people are not bothered. =]

I actually thought the Funimation DBZ dub was decent, it had high production values most of the characters voices fit. It certainly wasn't as bad as it could have been and it was an improvement over the Pioneer dub in the first episodes (which was HORRIBLE)!

worst: Anything DB related in multi-language forms IE DB in Spanish, French, English err

I havn't seen so much dubs...
But I like the Swedish ones: (almost the only dubs I have seen >_<)
Starzinger rocks... and Sailor Moon and Pokemon are good too... Digimon, YUGiOh and Beyblade are not that good but it isn't bad either.. they just... are there.

Oh, I just remembered I watched the Finnish digimon dub! One guy's voice was terrible.. that is the worst dub I have ever seen! It was TK's voice. Like this:
TK is happy: "Aaaaaa"
TK is crying: "Aaaaaa"
TK is afraid: "Aaaaaa"
TK is falling: "Aaaaaa"
He sounded exactly the same, and with no feeling at all. That was really bad.

I also watched Card Captors, the american dub/version of Card captor sakura... sure, the voices sucks but the worst is everything they have done to little cute CCS... *sob* Taking all that love away for no reason and made it into a stupid children action... terrible.

Gundam Wing, Esacflowne, and Saiyan Saga DBZ voices.
Worst by far Tokyocraps VErsion of Intital D, G.T.O and @ssamation's Tenchi GXp avoid at all cost.

i prefer subs over dub 100%, but some series were enjoyable to see in dub

Kaleidostar (REALLY good IMO, i actually prefered the dub :oh )
Onegai teacher (watched subs 1st, then borrowed boxset, rewatched in dub, havent seen twins dub though)

Middle:
allot of the older anime (well not old old, but when "I" was younger)
orphen,
outlaw star
cowboy bebop
and the ones i watched when i was a kid before i knew about anime... hehehe samurai pizza cats :P

Worst: Pokemon ( after 4kids sold it off, although I've stopped watching the series, i have youtube'd the new series)


i don't mind 4kids dubs too much(again, i don't watch their dubs , 'cept when its on tv occasionally)
only problem that i have with them, is their video editing! and renaming :mad ,

i.e: one piece: they made most, if not all action scenes into slideshows, with flashes everywhere - i found the voices tolerable like luffy and zorro (zolo)... not sanji though

Shaman King: haven't actually seen allot of it, just bits from youtube, 'cause they didn't air it in AUS when i moved here. You just cant rename HAO to ZEKE :mad

pokemon was actually enjoyable - again with the renaming (have no problem whatsoever... i did like sub better)

yugioh!, their best dubbed anime up till the end of battle city / whole ordeal with marik ( the rest i kinda didn't watch properly...
hated their video editing though, once i found out :mad )

Maybe Naruto if you're playing the drinking game where every time he says, "Believe it!" you take a shot.

Best - Berserk, made especially better if you've seen their outtakes too.

Worst - Definitely One Piece, it stands alone in that distinction. I've never seen so many people turned away from an awesome anime just because they watched it dubbed first.

Worst: The first one is definitely obvious, so I won't post it. After that comes Sailor Moon, Pokemon (With 4Kids), Digimon (after the first few seasons), Card Captor Sakura

Funny about how many people say Rurouni Kenshin is a bad dub. It's one of my favorites. I consider Samurai X (ADV's Kenshin title) to be absolutely horrible.

I enjoy a lot of dubs. Too many to list.

Worst: 4Kids - I can't so much blame a lot of the voice actors so much as the way 4kids deviates the scripts.

Samurai X dub was awful. Anything dubbed by Blue Water (not Ocean) is bad as well.
