Well, the 8th will be Franky of course.

The 9th will be a musician.

And the 10th... a bronze statue that ate a devil's fruit!

I'd go with one of the cp9 for the next one (Califa i hope) and for the 10th, Smoker or Tashigi. or both.

We'll have 9 with Franky if he joins, imo.

Oda went out of his way to establish the Going Merry as a member of the strawhats through Usopp and his strife with Luffy. Hell, nearly 3 years ago he even said a Straw Hat would die and as we learned, it turned out to be Merry.

So...

1. Luffy (Captain)
2. Zoro (First Mate)
3. Nami (Navigator)
4. Usopp (Sharpshooter)
5. Sanji (cook)
6. Chopper (doctor)
7. Robin (archaeologist/historian/translator)
8. New Ship

And assuming he joins...

9. Franky (carpenter)

The 10th person will probably be a musicien.

Yeah, Franky is both Carpenter and musican, he is a godamn living jukebox!
First i thought Paulie would join in too, but he just seem to helping the strawhats this arc. But who knows? just Oda.

It looked like Bon Clay would join after the Alabasta arc, but he went against Hina instead and got caught. Right now he is helping the other BWs out right? just hope for him to join the strawhats later on in the series.
Witch position on the ship would he get then?

if we're going for someone in CP9, what about Nero? He is seen as useless to them (after all, Lucchi tried to kill him, not that he can in OP), plus he's pretty strong. Sure, he's a little nuts, but he's damn smart (realized that Franky's back is vulnerable after fighting with him for only a few minutes) and he's not such a bad guy. Seems to me that he simply wants to be the strongest, much like Zoro. His 4 styles would come in handy too! Since he is missing Tekkai and Shigan, he is not overpowered like the others (he only has Rankakyu and his guns for attacking)

I still don't think that Franky will join as a carpenter, if he joins at all. His dreams will be complete by the end of the arc. It might be that he'll reveal that he wants to be the world's best musician, though, and then he could join.

he already said his dream. He wants to build the greatest ship in the world (which is what many think he did with the 200 million)

He wants to build the best ship. That's no doubt what he wanted the 200 mil for, and that'll be done by the end of the arc because the SHs need a new ship.
He wants to get revenge on Spandam for Tom. That's also going to be done by the end of this arc.

What I said is that if he joins the crew he'll need to reveal a new dream, hopefully that he wants to be the world's best musician.

I think Paulie has a better chance at joining since after all Franky won't want to leave his own Nakama and join Luffy. He's far too attached to them.

Paulie though doesn't really have any ties to Water 7 besides Iceburg so it's more possible for Paulie to join at this point.

Frank is 9th (as the new ship is 8th)

i think the 10th (and last) will be the music guy/girl who has some devil fruit power (hopefully a logia one)

There will be a 10th member. When They were talking about a musician I considered that as a joke
