Hello All. I am new to this forum and thought that the best way to break the ice was to start a thread. So any how Vandread who here has seen it and what are your opinions about it? Personally I think it is one of the better animes out and is one of the more humirous ones as well.

First I would like to say welcome to the forums.

I've seen Vandread and think it's awesome. My friend taped it and he let me borrow them. I think I've seen all of the episodes except for the last one. My favorite vandread is the one where Hibiki's vanguard fuses with the blue-hair chick's dread. Sorry I can't remember the names since I haven't seen it in a while.

Welcome, I think it had great CG fights and the story was pretty good, and that girl who would yell "Mr.Alien" was really funny most of the time too.

Welcome to the forums. :tem

I've watched both seasons and the movie (which was actually clips from the first season put together). I love the CG, it impressed me enough to keep watching.

Ahhh...brings back the good old memories(well it's not that old:P) Really good CG. Some of the best I've seen at the time(and still is I reckon) The last battle with the Earthling is just insane!!! Also none of the characters annoyed me, which is something no anime has done except Bleach. An A+ anime for me.:)

I always wished they continued that series or did a spinoff. I probally smiled more in those 2 short seasons then in almost all other anime I have watched. It was really interesting how the characters devolped with the intergender relationships.

Yeah I wish I had enough money Id call the people who made the show and tell them I would pay them to make one more season of it, but I dont have the money at this time.:(

I wouldn't need another season, but a movie would be nice.

Oh. My. God.

This was an anime that was probably made by women for women. I fill...disgusted for having watched it. I thought hey, mecha, cute women, what's not to like? But there's like no fanservice at all and it's all just a bunch of stupid talking. About relationships!

I think I want to kill myself now. I want. To die.

Actually I'm pissed more then anything. It had an interesting start, but just got so freaking stupid after awhile. Or girly.

P.S. The Vice Captain. She's a man. Let it be a warning.

Haha. I had the same WTF-reaction when I found out that BC is actually a guy. With boobs. :P

Well, I do agree that the show had less fanservice despite that we're looking at a lot of girls in the harem, despite that there are a lot of reasons for them to do so, but I didn't mind.

I was actually going to try to watch it all the way through. I was really struggling there for awhile. When that Pluto Girl dropped her interest in what's his face for Meia and started that stupid "Onee-sama" gag, I began to automatically just FF through any bits that featured her. Really, what the fuck was the point to her being introduced in the first place? They could have just found a beacon and gotten the message that way instead of dumping another bitch girl on our laps.

Then they killed that "Smile-Smile" lady off and that was kind of cool. Didn't like her character but I didn't hate her either. Got some nice action scenes from that.

I mean, that doctor guy, he was figuring out the mechanics and I thought we'd get some nice gags thrown in there, but nothing ever happened! Just some awkward moments and some stupid blushing scenes. Maybe someone would bump into someone else.

I wasn't expecting hentai, but there wasn't anything worth mentioning. After all that talk about creating a baby with "manseed" it ended up just being that. Talk. Just a suggestion.

It got very repetitive.

Basically; girl says/does something, protagonist growls and yells. Over. And over. And over. Again. No witty dialogue.

I wanted the whole crew to just die and you know what? Now they are all dead, because I trashed the whole damn series and am going to watch some Moribito Guardian now.

DON'T! There isn't anything in it worth watching! You want good CGI mecha? Watch Zegapain! Or something! Anything else! Even that Strain series had a couple fan service episodes! There's nothing in this series worth watching...! *Flies off into the Phantom Zone*

I actually liked the show a lot. Though the CG mech fights took some time to get you used to, but it was awesome when they fused. Still haven't seen the last 2 episodes of the show. I'll probably download them later tonight.

I agree with Gene. This show is kinda good once you get used to it. It's fun to watch bcause it's not your usual harem anime!

I think it started out as one, but that got dropped about half way through. So it's not a harem anime. It became...something else. :iik
