I'm also having a bit of difficulty grasping that Kaku is a giraffe as well. I mean, of all the things he could have gained from the Devils Fruit, I was least expecting another Zoan-type and especially, a Giraffe. Well then again, Oda is king of plot twists.

Yes, both the Zoan-type in general and the giraffe form in particular were completely unexpected, but I love Oda for always keeping things exciting. Considering the manga's length, that's not an easy accomplishment. This arc just gets better and better. ^__^

At first, I wasn't exactly thrilled by the prospect of Kaku being a giraffe, though with a few glimpses of the chapter, it seems Kaku is even stronger. His Rankakyu is going to be one hell of a challange for Zoro, especially now that Kaku's legs are even stronger. Ch. 402 and 403 are going to be great chapters.

Kafia's devilfruit.

She ate one too, and we don't know what it is. I'm guessing that, along the lines so far, that its also going to be a Zoan type DF. They already had three zoans, including the elephant sword, now its four, and I can feel the fifth one coming on.

Also, seeing how Sanji is fighting her, my bets are on it being something like a Boar or a Walrus. Just so we can see Sanji's happy-smiling heart-eyed face drop like a rock.

Well this chapter was certainly humorous with the taunting of Kaku's Giraffe form...

It seems that even only at 1/3rd his strength Franky easily has the upperhand against Fukurou. Depending on what else Fukurou shows (he doesn't have a devil fruit so there shouldn't be something too strange to mess up Franky like Blueno's doors did to Luffy.), he could probably help against Kaku and Jabura.
