You know, I'm a little curious. Is there any member here besides me who's a writer of One Piece fictions? If you are, tell us about your stories, yourself, how you view writing and how you think you are as a writer, or whatever you want to talk about. Heck, you can even talk about nothing at all for all I'm concerned about, just think of this as a discussion place for One Piece writers. I can't tell you about myself at the moment, too busy, but if I get enough people into this forum I guess I can tell you of my story and ideas. Well, I hope I can get to talk to some fellow writers here, I'll TTYL(hopefully).

I'm a writer! I'm the best writer the world will ever know, or that's my dream. Anyway, One Piece is also the best anime and manga the world has ever known. I've never really written anything One Piece, but I could probably try. I am currently writing a pirate story, and a little of it has been inspired by One Piece, and a little of it has been inspired by other things, and so on. It's basically a story about a sixteen year old, Kanto, who witnesses the death of William Kidd, a very famous pirate who becomes friends with Kanto before he dies. In sadness, and off to find the hidden treasure of William Kidd, Kanto leaves his small island to start his own crew and find the treasure of his dear friend. Lots of stuff has happened since then. That's just a little tiny bit of what the whole story is like.
You said you write too, right?

Hitotsumami ur story sounds on the same basic of one piece but with a diffrent start (as shanks did not die) however i would not mind giving it read. i dont like to write storys but i love to read them. if anyone has any good one piece storys (short or long) could they post a link so we can read them.

I have the first chapter of my story posted here at the forum, under Konoha Fanworks. It's called The Pirate from Santo (SEASON ONE). I hope you enjoy it.

If it's not yaoi i'll read it. :amuse the yaoi cancer is invading one piece now too. and it's not that i have anything against yaoi but it's a bit too much already.

Oh yeah, I know exactly how you feel. I myself have nothing against the idea of yaoi pairings, but come on, it's just too much, there are barely any het writers out there.
Now, as I said earlier, I'll tell you about my story. It revolves around a character I created named Draconian Mihawk, and as you can tell he's Hawkeye's son. He hates his father for not being there when he was growing up, since he left when his mother was pregnant and never returned. So at age 17, after years of training and aquiring a Devil Fruit, he finally sets off to fight the man. He's pretty much following the route of Luffy, meating much of the enemies he has, and fighting them to improve his skills. At the moment, he's at Alabasta. I've got many ideas for fights in the future, and great ways for him to use his powers to increase his strength and skills. In case you are wondering, he fights with a scimitar and katana(same time or separate), and has eaten a fruit that gives him the power to control fire(but unlike with Ace, not actually become it. And sorry if you think I'm just copying, but at the time I started the thing I hadn't known there was only one of each fruit, but I have a theory that should rectify the situation).
Hope you like the idea, if you want to read the story I'll give you the address.

That's the biggest problem in the one piece fanfic community. It's the same one Naruto has. it's frustrating to go to ff.net to read in the whole page NaruSasu or in one piece case SanZoro and crap like that.

Sorry, I just don't like to give too much away with my stories, I just feel that people should find out for themselves. But if I were to give out more info, what would you want to know?

I write, but more in the sense of concept art. There are like more in-depth fanfics, where I twist and manipulate and change the fundamentals of the story to the way I see fit. A word to best illustrate this is "remix". And I have constructed remixes for:
Dragonball Z
Ninja Turtles
Power Rangers
Pokemon
Megaman
and One Piece
Honestly, I'm not a fan of One Piece. Maybe because I saw it on FoxBox TV before seeing the manga and which it left a sour taste in my mouth. Though, the story intrigued me nonetheless. So yea, I have a One Piece "remix".
Well, that's what it started off at first until I contorted the fundamentals so much that it no longer related to One Piece besides the title and character names. So I dropped the names baggage and decided it will be my own story.
I am also an artist... as well as writer. So expect a collaboration of the two. Maybe a comic/manga. Maybe. I ran into the problem that I don't draw pirates very well. These are the times you come to appreciate how well Kishimoto portrays ninjas and Oda illustrates pirates in their own unique style. So in hopes of inspiration, I borrowed the movie "Pirates of the Caribbean" which really helped a bunch. But it wasn't enough. Now I look at "Final Fantasy 10" art because of the water-themed scenery and clothing attire... which strongly resembles pirates. But still, nothing is coming.
I would tell of the story or what I have made out so far, but I don't want to give it away. I'm really hoping to get a comic/manga established. So I don't want my audience already knowing whats going to happen. Plus I have this pestering paranoia that if I am to share my ideas someone will steal it, claim it as their own, and make big bucks of it.

Okay, okay.

That'll bring you to my homepage, the story is Eye of the Dragon. I also did another description on my homepage of the story, if you wanted a little more info. I'm not really sure about the idea of a beta reader. I'd like to have someone go and correct any misspellings, but I just feel that they might do some things with what I actually wrote. I'd just like to improve on that myself, and I feel a beta reader might impede that(or something).
Oh, and as to the post above me, very interesting. That might be something I'd like to read, if I had time and all.
