You just know that the real key to Robin's shackles is going to be thrown away, just in time for Luffy to smash them with his bare hands, or Zoro to just cut them off, or something.

Actually, it would just be so goddamn awesome if it merely ends with Nami picking the lock.

yeah, I really don;t see them opening the lock with a key.

A Nami lock picking moment would be awesome rather than the more stereotypical hero smashes the lock anyway.

Don't forget the crying and screaming

Well they're supposably daimond hard, so I think it'd be a bit too early to smash/cut diamond... Nami picking it is possible, or Usopp could make himself more useful by doing something about it... though if the key does turn out be found, that be just boring...

As everyone said, its not Odastyle to open the shakles with keys. And Zoro shouldnt be able to cut diamond yet. Luffy smashing it would be ok, but i rather see something other happend. Something unpredictable, And everyone who have read the latest chapter 401 knows that oda is the most unpredictable person living.

I don't see Luffy or Zoro smashing/cutting them ( they're probably not on that level yet)...Nami lock picking would be good for a change;]

Yes, I agree with this.

But I do remember Zoro cutting that metal-hardened foe(forgot his name) back at the Alubarna Arc, and his fallen opponent asking him: "Ha-ha. Next time, are you going to cut through diamonds?"

I don't think Zoro'll cut through the hard-as-diamond handcuffs, but I think it's something to look out for.

hey, aren't they made out of the sea stone? luffy can't smash them anyway.

Except his strength doesn't have anything to do with his DF power. Well, it lets him hit harder, yeah, but it's not what makes him superstrong in the first place.

Otherwise he would never have been able to perform any of his obscene lifting feats.

Seastone drains you, but look at the recent covers for pictures of DF users having beaten people senseless (and smashed through a stone wall) while wearing the same shackles.

And smashing diamonds or other very hard materials can be easier than cutting them. But I'm rooting for the Nami lock picking moment now anyway.

Yeah, it's probably going to be impossible for Luffy or Zoro to break those shackles; besides, it would be just as boring as having them get the key to open them.

The Nami lock pick is a great idea... I actually want Usopp to be the one to do the opening, but I can also imagine Chopper using brain point on the shackles to find out its weakness (anything's possible in OP, so why not?)

I would hazard a guess that luffy could still punch them, my thoughts are that seastone comes in varying strengths/densities. The cuffs still allow robin to walk around where as smokers baton stopped luffy completely. Although that could be because it was closer to his vitals than the cuffs are.

But Zoro then replied by sayiing it would be pointless to cut through diamonds.

I'd like it to not be the expected Luffy/Zoro break/cut thorugh them.

The Nami idea is a pretty good one.

Perhaps Ussop will render himself randomly useful again. Since he's the tech, he should be the one to do it.

Perhaps Ussop will render himself randomly useful again. Since he's the tech, he should be the one to do it."Randomly useful"? Because beating one of the strongest members of CP9 won't do that for him?
