Monkey D. Luffy vs Roronoa Zoro

I find One Piece very complex when it comes to battles. Now we all know that as powerful as Luffy is, there is no way he could have beaten Crocadile with just his powers alone. Now I don't know if Zoro could have beaten Crocadile, at the same time, I can't see Luffy defeating Mr. 1 where' Zoro beat him soundly.

So, who wins this battle...

Luffy with gear 2 wins now,oh when Zoro will get a power up?

Probably after this fight with kaku, who zoro is very easily matching attack for attack. Blueno was much weaker than kaku. I think zoro and luffy are pretty even right now. Gear two is great but zoro still has the slicing luffy in half advantage.

You never know, with Zoro's swords howling for blood now, I wouldnt be suprised if they got something to the extent of Shikai where it morphs. That would be so freaking awesome :laugh

I guess this 'gear' I keep hearing about is some sort of state Luffy attains. I've done some digging and I can't find how he attains it and when he first uses it.

Well it's around chapter 388. Not really a state as merely just increasing his speed.

At the same time we have yet to see Zoro fight much this arc while Luffy fought to that extent against a 'formidabble' opponnent. Blueno is also much much weaker than Kaku.

So I'd say they remain even, but maybe Zoro can take the win, as while both have great endurance, I'm sure one of the reason Luffy is able to endure a lot is because of his rubber body, which won't help much a gainst Zoro's swords.
