Tony Ja is the new Jet Li IMO, and anyone who has watched Ong Bak would agree
But in a real fight, NHB, who would win?
Tony's fast moving Muay Thai skills, or Jet Li's skillful Wu Shu?
*Note: Both are in their Prime for this fight

Most likely Tony Jaa if you go by style. Wuu Shuu is really not a good no hands bar fighting style it's good for show off but when it comes to the real thing: Muey Thai kick Wuu Shuu ass. Now if Jet Li was using another martial art like Shaolin Kung-Fu.. then we got a tough match up.

If we 're talking about Jet-Li in his prime, I would put my money on him. Don't ask me why, he seems more experienced...
But if you take the current Tony Ja, who was just recently kicking ass and taking names like a little kangaroo full of elbows, and pit him against current Jet-Li, who is like 43 years old, its a bloodbath;D

Jet Li still wouldn't be able to take him. He hasn't really studied a real martial art the way that Tony Jaa has. Li has won some competitions in the past, but if you notice they were all non-sparring competitions. You can make things look really pretty and still not be able to kick someone's ass. In his own words, he doesn't want to train to "fight" fight and he admits that he would be defeated in real life by any real MMA.
Tony Jaa, on the other hand, has actually studied both Muay Thai and Aikido. He seems to be in better shape as well.
Tony Jaa is the only winner for this thread. People who say Jet Li either don't know what they're talking about or are incredibly biased.

I didn't know those facts. I guess Tony Ja wins then...

Don't get me wrong, Jet Li is impressive, but I bet we'll see more of Tony Jaa in the future. He's just as good at acrobatics and what have you. I enjoyed Ong Bak more so than any martial arts film ever.

Add to that, that Tony Jaa does all of his stunts himself. No stuntmen whatsoever.

^You could also say that Jackie Chan also does his own stunts :P
Which movie martial artist would be more of a challenge to Tony then?

Probably Bruce Lee...
and the ones who play Sub Zero and Scorpion in MK movies and MK: Conquest. But they are not of asian origine. But Chris Casamassa (Scorpion) will defenitly be a toug match for Tony Jaa.
François Petit (MK1 Sub Zero) is another World Class Marital artist. Keith Cooke (MK1 Reptile and MK2, MK3 Sub Zero) isn't bad either.
I know who!!!
Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa (Shang Tsung of MK) that guy ihas his own martial art style and he can kick major ass.

Probably Bruce Lee...
Bruce Lee is again overrated. He might though, since I don't really know how skilled Jaa is, only that he is.

He really isn't. Bruce Lee started with Wing Chung (which kinda resembles Wuu Shuu but abit more on the fighting side) which is true but he also learned other martial arts and in the end published Jeet Kun Doo (which is basically a compliation of all his martial arts learned and picked out as the best ways to fight). He also had several real street fights in his life, some envolving near death.
The overrated parts are the ones where people say he hands are so fast you can't see it comming and stuff... but in reality BL has more Street fighting credits then most of these guys we see in movies.

The market chase scene was a true tribute to Jackie chan , as was the whole comedic feel of the film :)

Wushu is all about the performance, Muy thai is all about getting the job done.
They even consider doping ok. Don't believe me? Look at the last Ong-Bak fight, he took that drug to make himself feel no pain.
What the hell is the messages to the kids?
Anyway, Tony Ja for the win.

He was, but it was in non-combat martial arts. He didn't physically beat some one up to become so, he just had the best routine.

Jackie Chan for the win:P
I read in a interview that Jackie Chan was the one to influence Tony Jaa and that they might be making a movie together.:thumbs

well Jet Li won a gold medal in sparring at the 1979 Wushu Championships, so he does know how to fight. up until 1979 he didn't spar though. he's also a beast at Eagle's claw, he's got like 3 gold medals in that form even though it wasn't sparring. i did see him admit that he would lose to Tito Ortiz, Randy Coutoure, and Chuck Liddell, but look at those guys.
but i would put Tony Jaa over Jet Li. Tony Jaa vs Donnie Yen would be a much better match. Donnie Yen used to fight all the time back in the day in the Combat Zone. He was also learning since he was physically able to considering his mother was a tai chi and wushu master.
Tony Jaa would get it handed to him by Bruce Lee. Bruce Lee's style is good against all of Tony Jaa's styles (muay thai, taikwondo, and aikido).
