i think it time we put together out minds to work out who he is (if this has been explain in some odd chapter i did not read it so sorry)

I was watching some old one piece and remeber that he was there to help luffy get to the grand and stoped smoker.

From the looks of it he has some high hopes for luffy and is wanted by the marines.

Anyone else got anymore info or speculations/theories.

It was mentioned some times that Luffy had something special. Smoker seems to believe that a man who smiles at his own dead doesn't care if the entire world is against him. Dragon is a revolutionary so I guess Luffy is the man he was expecting. he has hopes for the kids all right.

I know this sounds stupid but I think the "D" stands for "Dragon" and he may in fact be a symbolic/metaphorical character.

Maybe he was in the Gold Roger's crew in the past..
And it seems he can manipulate weather somehow.

Personly i think dragons a Shichibukai.

Whats why Smoker was so suprised a Shichibukai helped a pirate.

He was maybe a member of Gol D Rogers crew?

im pretty sure dragon isnt a Shichibukai because if i recall the leaders of the world government and cobra and some other leaders had a meeting to discuss what they were going to do about dragon.

Smoker said that Dragon was wanted, and all sichibukai is free people. They remove your bounty and the marine stops hunting you, thats mostly why many pirates want to become a member there.

Manipulating weather would be an pricless ability on a ship in the sea. Rogers navigator maybe?

I think Dragon is someone who has knowledge of the True History or maybe is working on creating one of the Ancient Weapons to destroy the world government. He may think Luffy will keep the Marines and the world government occupied while he is carrying out his own plans.

About the island ur talking about Raftel. the last island of the grand line, so no it's not the one piece. The one piece is in it.

Well.. It's said, that Roger was the one who obtained everything in this world. Wealth, Power, Fame (from first opening). I suppose that it's called "One Piece" because all those treasures are there. All in one piece..

In reality of course SH will probably find a note saying, that if you made it to the Raftel, means you are already strong, wealthy and probably already legendary. And of course you have a lot of precious comrades (read friends) which is the greatest treasure of all..

On topic.

It's a good idea about Dragon being GR navigator..
I also think that Kureha was GR crew doctor. And Mihawk being swordsman (just like Zoro)..

Kureha was doctor of King Roger crew i dont think , she is not type of pirate but it is possible Dragon was memeber of King Roger ?

since luffy practically has challenged the world goverment with everything he has done in ennie's lobby i think dragon might meet with luffy and discuss some thing's. i think dragon is somebody that knows about the true history and wants to destroy the world goverment because of it. in order to do so dragon needs very powerful people that are willing to fight on his side so that's why he let luffy escape when buggy was going to kill him. since dragon is probably a d he want's all the d's to join in his fight against the world goverment.

If I am not mistaken, he said he was once a pirate doctor, then later he talked directly "to" Gol D. Roger.... ;)
