Okay, so I would like to get into V for Vendetta before the movie comes out, so what novel do I start out with for V for Vendetta?

I'm almost inclineded to do so, but this seems like a graphic novel in which I would like to personally own. Much like how I bought the entire Sin City collection, worth every penny.

Thanks for the complement on the sig :grin

Right now you can go to B&N or Borders and they have it in one volume.

Remember that controversial issue of Vanity Fair where Lindsay Lohan admitted to being a crack whore? (come on, don't tell me you didn't skim through)

In that issue there was a big article about V for Vendetta, giving it all this hype. So even if you can care less about what powder Lindsay is sniffing I'd check it out, It gave a detailed inside scoop and stuff. Really made me want to see the movie.

On an unrelated note, is V for Vendetta like anything along the lines of Fallen Angel? (in like, a dark sense)

I haven't read Fallen Angels, but I will say that "V for Vendetta", along with "Transmetropolitan" was what got me into comics. The series (and it is a single, completed storyline, if you were wondering) is an absolute masterpiece, storywise, moral-wise and artwise. I haven't seen the movie so I don't know if it's particularily true to the comic, but I'd start with the comic anyway, and yes, I'd buy it for money. It's a mindfuck, as they say.

No, it's a comic book. Hence the thread in the "American style comics" section. :amuse

Oh, In the Index Page, it said "Konoha Library, Floor 2 - Walk up to the second floor to talk about all kinds of manga out there." My mistake.

The comic is worth buying.

I bought the hardcover three weeks ago for only 29.99!

You can trust Alan Moore. Pretty much anything he sets to work on is wonderful... pick up the watchmen which is prolly one of the best comics ever written even by todays standards. Oh but to let you know Alan Moore isn't some crazy asshole.. the reason he is wanting no credit for V for Vendetta since he doesn't own it since DC screwed him over.
