The only worthwhile thing I got from watching the raw is that the three villains are mod souls like someone suspected already. Well at least we know for sure that Nova is.

I just figured out what "Nova's" actual name is. I checked the credits for this episode to find :

りりん Ririn
蔵人 Kuroudo
之芭 Noba

I couldn't find a meaning for Ririn, but since the other two names are in Kanji, it was much easier to figure them out. Kuroudo is a term meaning "keeper of imperial archives" which might explain his outfit. Noba means (this surprised me) "of bananas" or "this banana." LOL I have no idea why he is named that.

Pretty unspectacular effort this week... but then I didn't understand much of what was going on anyway. Having said that, it has to be slightly concerning that the fact that Ichigo has been redrawn in the ED is the most notable thing about the episode though. I'll admit he looked freaky before, just... wrong... :oh

Interesting...fillers aren't doing too bad in my eyes, could be better, but not too shabby considering they've had to rush this and plan it out accordingly so the manga can get somewhat ahead. Thanks for the links :amuse.

Is it just me or that girl's laugh is really annoying? At first it was cute or whatever, but then it drove me insane at the end of the show.

I liked how Ishida was under the spotlight for once.

nice to see an ep with Ishida getting a lot of coverage and especially the fact he figured out that they were mod souls. I found the ep pretty interesting despite the fact that I'd hoped for a bit more action this week.

Looks like the rinrin, nova and cloud keep to their word and give back what they've taken if they lose.

This episode was certainly not bad IMHO. I think Chad and Inoune aren't themselves (they probably become modded souls too...) and also, the zanpaktous are probably modded or have been copied by the enemies.
And this episode somehow reminded me of The Poltergeist Report - Yu Yu Hakusho...

i really liked this ep. halfway trough i was totally into the story lol. nice to see the mod soul theory from the first filler ep was right. got some sharp minds in here :D dont think this is "fake" inoue or chad but then again they are baddies so you never know.

like i said in my other posts on the subject: i enjoy this filler alot. keeping me interested but also i almost never see anything wrong. didnt mind the naruto ones until norimusha arceither so that should tell you something :D dont see anything bad about the animation but this is just my second anime so dont notice it. lets just hope they keep the filler at this level

yeah i def. hafta admit as disappointed as i was at first that the upcoming episodes would be fillers, i've actually grown to enjoy it. given the nature of this arc, esp. ep. 66, i think they did a good job just putting a lot of suspense, mystery, and frustration for the viewer. kinda sittng and waiting, listening to rinrin laugh as we're not quite sure what to believe at the end of the episode.

hmm, I'm surprised people didn't like the ep.
I suppose from a spectator point of view it is sort'a bland/action/drama -less.
Perhaps that's why I started viewing it from the makers p.o.v. think of making a cool puzzle like that from scratch. It's just interesting enough because at least the animators are giving the 'fillers' thought before making it.

Or else it'd just be bad guy beat up hero, hero powered up - beat bad guy, happy ending, yay Disney!

this episode was again quite boring but still decent, not bad for fillers considering they dont have anything to work with unlike naruto where they can just keep adding more countries and stuff.
Obviously its better than the past fillers of Don Kanonji =P, but they aren't bad, not good enough to make me want to watch the next (the quality has alot to do with that :wink ) but not bad, at least like someone said, they put some thought into it rather than straight up fighting.

Also is it just me or are the quality of the fillers pretty crappy? and the redrawn Ichigo in the ED IMO looks like crap, the other one looked better.
Now the hate on Ririn starts lol, well owner of her FC here :laugh and I still like her =).

Next eps looks like the characters start turning on eachother or fight one another and such. Also these fillers will get alot better if we see some more characters. Preview had Ukitake and Soi Fong in her fighting uniform, if Soi Fong appears *though I couldn't think why* then I don't care if the fillers suck.

Fantastic filler! I never expected them to be mod souls! Excellent linking with stuff that's already been established, especially in light with what Rukia said about modsouls in the early eps/chapters.

Really impressed with these fillers. Does Kubo Tite have any input on these? Damn... the writer should do NAruto fillers..

I guess some find this boring because it didn't have any fighting in it. It was more of a mystery episode.

I respect that the writers are actually putting a significant amount of thought into these fillers. Unlike the Naruto fillers this whole thing has been really well-written (especially this episode) and it's obvious alot of work went into these.

I hate that they redrew Ichigo in the ending, though. He looked badass before. Now he just looks like he always does: bland and stupid. :P

well, kon "escaped" maybe the other three escaped too, or someone was taking care of these three from the beginning when they were created.

But if these three are going to become the modsouls for the other shinigamis which will come later on in the next arc, this would be really funny(though its still filler), but we have 5 people overall(without rukia and ichigo) and it would suck if three got these mod souls but the other 2 didnt
