Hatchet by Gary Paulsen.
Also any other books by Gary Paulsen. He's such a great author. Hatchet is about a boy that gets stranded in some forest area after his plane crashes in a lake. And he has to learn all these survival skills and work with what he has and all that. It's rlyrlyrlyrlyrly good.

The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time.
This is an excellent piece of fiction, by Mark Haddon. It's written from the perspective of an autistic boy. It's a bit different, but I couldn't stop reading it.

Well, it starts off with Cristopher, the protagonist, investigating the murder of his neighbor's dog, and I can't say much more than that without spoiling stuff. It deals heavily with our own society, since it's seen from a different perspective.
Damn good, and a bestseller from 2003.

People might think you are reading something sleazy but then you tell them that its written by GGM, who's a nobel prize winner in literature, so that shuts them up.

Well another book you could read if you haven't already is the infamous Night by Elie Wiesel. It was the winner of the 1986 Nobel Peace Prize. It's about a terrifying acount of the Nazi death camp horror that turns a young Jewish boy into a witness of the death of his family and many other innocents. Elie Wiesel's memoirs are unforgettably recorded in this book.

To make the long story short, the story takes place in the future when a clone of a ruler, El Patron, is created. It follows the clone, Matthew's life from birth to age 14, and WOW his life suckss. Since he's a clone, El Patron's family started treating him like dirt, and then Matthew soon finds out that El Patron wants to kill him. So he tries to escape the land and if I told you more then I'd ruin the ending.
Heh, I think I retold the story bad, but seriously, read... this... book :doh It's weird at first but then it is really addicting!
