I got it the other day. It's a nice album, but I think "The Marshall Mathers LP" and "The Eminem Show" were better.

Next single should be "Rain Man". I'm listening to it now. The overusage of Dr. Dre's "Yeah" sample and everything else in that song is hilarious.

talk about the album or any particular songs on the release.

Eminem fell off once he hired writers to help with his lyrics. His rhymes are wack compared what they used to be. You can tell by the poor quality of "The Eminem Show" and "Encore"'s verses.

Havent heard it yet, and not planning to anytime soon, there are much better albums out there this year and im still enjoying them all. but knowing eminem, theres probabily gonig to be 2 or 3 meaningful songs in the cd and the rest will be the repeat of "F*** YOU* for 4 consecutive minutes, but isnt that the state of rap at the moment?

I think Encore was much better than the other ones.
I liked the lyrics on some of the tracks on this album, for example Rain Man, Mosh, like Toy Soldiers etc.

The songs that had a meaning on the album was:
- Evil Deeds
- Like Toy Soldiers
- Mosh
- Mockingbird

And on the other songs he's rapping about other unimportant things.
But most of the tracks are more serious than the tracks on the other albums.

But as usual, most of the songs is about him growing up and him complaining on his ex-girlfriend and shit like that.

I miss the Eminem from The Marshal Mathers LP :sad

now his lyrics just seem so commertial..
now im sitting here with your name on my skin
i cant believe i went and did this stupid again
my next girlfriend now her names gotta be kim
shiiii-iiii-ii-i-it
if you only knew how much i hated you
for every mutha-fucking thing you've ever put us thru
then i wouldnt be standing here crying over you

I mean, it sounds like an angry, winey boyband lyric.

I miss the Eminem that made 'The Way I Am'.. -__- that wasn't afraid of the consequences and tried to put the truth out there.
Of course, 'We as Americans' and 'Like Toy Soldiers' have some of that old spirit, but he's just not there anymore *sigh*

but that's just me ^^;;

my current theory is his writers are censoring his image for him. I mean, if you look at it, and I mean REALLY look at his style before "The Eminem Show" and then look at his style on "The Eminem Show" through this CD, you'll see 2 completely different spectrums.

I KNOW he has writers, its a pretty common discussion on a couple of hip hop boards I went to(circa last year) and its easy to tell he doesn't write his own stuff too much anymore.

His last decent track was "Nail In The Coffin(The second benzino diss)", and that wasn't NEAR up to par with his Everlast Disses of the late 90's. Eminem just needs to retire peacefully, as he will NEVER be able to release another "Slim Shady LP".

Lol, Eminem is a musical genius, stfu. He can play 8 different stuff...

And what do you listen to? Municipal Waste? I mean, the guys who play guitar like 3 year old kids... and the vocal has a sissy voice.

When he's at his best he's not overly terrible, but that's been years and years ago. Now the majority of his lines sound like a 12 year old's attempt at a witty greeting card.

^^ And that makes me sad. He can still drop a verse. But what he was doin on Infinite and Slim Shady LP not too many can touch. All time too. Damn that money and fame.

No Apologize had sick lyrics but doesn't touch Slim shady, marshall matters lp or Eminem show. Just doesn't, encore was his weakest attempt at a album. But whoever says em is talentless is fucking moronic, obviously doesn't know what rap is.

Throwing out a bunch of names doesn't validate your claim. I could do the same by saying Rakim one siad in an interview that if Enimen was black, he'd be considered to greatest of all time.

In the field of emceeing, Eminem is far from talentless. Now, if we're talking about producing, wow. Dude should definitely leave it to cats like Dilla, Madlb, RZA etc.

This is how I rank Eminems Albums

1. The Slim Shady LP
2. The Eminem Show
3. The Marshall Mathers LP
4. The Encore

All were great imo, the next video I want from Encore would have to be....Evil Deeds.
