in a battle who would win a ninja(any ninja rank) or a demon slayer?

The demon slayer. The average demon slayer should be more powerful than the average ninja. It takes some power to just slay one weak demon.

A demonslayer obviously specialises in killing/banishing demons, whereas ninjas specialise in killing other strong humans.

In a fight between them, a demonslayer would have a compatibility disadvantage, that would limit his combat abilities.

I look at the typical demonslayer to be like gatsu from berserk, tho he did his fair share of human killing (like those 1000 people) hes killed 'strong' human foes but i don't think hes encountered anyone would a ninjas speed and stealth abilities.

The typical ninja would be kakashi from naruto, who ofc has killed meny humans both strong and agile.

I suppose Roshinu doesn't have ninja speed? Though Gutts was only able to react to her attacks lessening damage and such, that was before 15 volumes of improvement and before the Berserker armor.

Roshinu could fly at sound speed and Guts still could evade her. That was Guts from volumes 14-15. With his actual skill and the berserk armor Guts can hold his own against the strongest apostles (Zodd, Grunbeld, etc). He would destroy any ninja from Naruto.

God > Naruto's final enemy

True, but gutts is not how I imagine a demonslayer. Dunno if this is a "famous demonslayers vs famous ninjas" or "typical ninja vs typical demonslayer", but in the second case, I would imagine a typical demonslayer to be something like a shaman, not a powerhouse like gutts.

As i previously said, the only demonslayer that comes to my mind is Gatsu from berserk, without his berserk armour hes still a good/above average demon slayer.

Name a more average one that Gatsu

I can't seem to remember one =/ else I'd have described him. It's just that I'd imagine a demonslayer to use banishing techniques, binding techniques, have a certain knowledge of the arcane and an affinity to otherwordly energies as primary traits, and pure strength as secondary. But I can't remember any characters like that, which begs the question where does my image of demonslayers come from.

Hmm, a night elf demonhunter would be a nice example.

I'm pretty sure he (along with others from the same manwha) could take on your average ninja. The only other manga with demon slayers I can recall is Inuyasha...

Sango kick ass :jk She so just pwns Inuyasha. The only charakters I like are Sango and Miroku, Sango just totally pwns Miroku, and Miroku is a pervert :jk But, for the rest of it, it is a softie-girlish- anime :oh

I do think Sango can pwn some ninjas, but not ninjas like Itachi or Deidara xDDD Maybe genins...
