Now upon seeing the enemy and the ending song. It seems clear that the filler episode is about mod souls. So to catch up on Mod Souls we can look at Kon. Mod Souls use to be helpers of Shinigami towards killing Hollows. They then determined Mod Souls to be unstable and decided to kill all of them. (Or so they thought) Clearly Kon survived and thus we have a mod Soul.

If you look at the clues at the ending song and the dancing stuff toys. We can connect the 3 Mod Souls/Dead Bodies to the 3 stuff animals dancing. So I believe that the filler arc will be aboud MOd Souls. BUTT!!! Since the arc just started I COULD BE WRONG So you might be wondering about the big giant door and stuff like that in which I cannot explain. But I think the filler arc is about Mod Souls considering Renji decided to remind us all about them when he started playing with Kon

Also it has been stated (or so I learned from a Bleach Site) that Mod SOuls can also have some extensive powers when occupying a body. Now we can then concur or explain how they kidnapped Orohime using powers. And to explain how they have to go back to the stuff toys........maybe when they use too much of their power they need to go back to stuff toys?

Not to mention if we remember during Kon's first visit Rukia's celly was actin weird too. So maybe thats why Renji's was acting weird and Uruhara and the Cat did too

They did say it was a very faint energy level and I doubt KON would have a huge energy level so it would make sense.

i thought so too, but there seems to be some plot holes(right now) if this were indeed true

like, no one ever thought that the modsould could go into toys with no real body, so why should anyone beside ichigo(who didnt wanted to give kon a real body) think so? Did they saw kon and thought "hey, thats a good way to hide our true form"
and why should these three be together? And why is her power some weird mind reading and illusions? (rukias explained, that the mod souls had physical improvements)

sry, i thought of this theory too, but theres something missing(even though i still think the other toys will be containers of souls too)

Good job. This ties in nicely with the underdeveloped mod-souls plot. It was in the spotlight for one episode and then put on the backburner. Even Kon, a potentially beastly character, is comical relief.

But you caught on fast didn't you? You were mostly right and I am impressed.

Urahara said to HIDE them in a stuffed animal. When a mod soul is in a stuffed animal it's spirit force is hidden. It's "spirit profile" gets smaller making it easier for them to go on w/o being noticed.
