Thats right, you heard me :P Can ANY comic book crossover triumph over the sheer brilliance that is Infinite Crisis?
Onslaught Saga- I think not :P
House of M- House of who?
Infinity Saga (Gauntlet, Abyss etc)- Close, but no cigar
Crisis on Infinite Earths- Possibly, but its rather old now
Identity Crisis- Also a really good contender
Future Crossovers:
Marvel's Civil War- Maybe, really looking forward to it
Can YOU think of a crossover that trumps IC? (If you haven't read IC, then you can't really comment can you :P)
DC>Marvel (For now- may change in the future though, with Civil War)

right now i still hold HoM over IC until IC comes to an end, thats all, but right now IC looks like it can take the cake unless the ending sucks. for some reason a lot of things that start off really good in the beginning ends up having a stupid ending. but i'm sure DC will pull it off. i like how they made Superboy Prime of all people a main focus.
I can't wait for the Civil Wars as well and don't forget Annihilation
Crossovers are normally judged by the results though, and right now it seems like IC could just end up killing off a couple of more heros and villains and bring some Earth-2s in with a good story to go with it. But who could have guess that there would be "no more mutants" after HoM and lead to the return of Apocalypse? (i've been waiting for his return since his death).
Top 2 til end of IC
HoM then IC

more things happened in IC #4 than the whole HoM + Decimation put together

Quoted for truth :P
IMO House of M was shocking, towards the end, however, so many amazing changes have happened in IC so as to make House of M seem abit superficial and beside the point

Classically, Marvel>DC, currently DC>Marvel

Again, quoted for truth. In the past, alot of DC's crossovers etc sucked really hard (Zero Hour anyone?), but nowadays, that seems to have changed

I prefer house of m to infinite crisis. Yes, I reconize Infinite crisis is really good, that is written well, but then again I find marvel chracters more enduring then Dc ones. I also liked the Inifinity Gaunlet 6 issues (from the inifnity saga) more so then both. And, quite possibly it is my favorite mini series in existance. Second only to The Omac Project, which I think was significantly better then Infinite crisis.
-Really it's all about how much u care about the chars anyway, there shouldn't really be a better one outright. One is better to one fan base and one is better to another.

Ive said it before and I will say it again, IC>>all.
HoM was kinda dissapointing IMO It was ok and all, but it didnt nearly live up to the hype where as IC has exceeded the hype IMO. Heck, IMO Identity Crisis > HoM, I loved Identity Crisis <3
Also, its not just IC that makes this crossover so great, its all the tie ins too. Day of Vengance was awesome, OMAC project the same and the other mini's too, JSA and JLA tie ins rocked, Crisis of confindense was sweet, etc... Everything is just building up so nicely and makeing IC 100 times better then it would be as a stand alone read (although it would still be a great stand alone read IMO :P)
as for the whole DC>Marvel or Marvel>DC thing, each company has had its ups and downs through time. At one point in Marvel might be better, half a year later DC is kicking its butt, then Marvel makes a come back, but then DC does something that pulls them back in front, and the cycle has been going on and on for decades. I agree that right now DC>Marvel and that a few years ago Marvel>DC, but I dont think you can generalize and say Marvel is historically better then DC except for right now. Everyone has their favorites but you miss out on a lot by being a fanboy of only one company. I go where the awesome comics are, dosnt matter the company lol :P IMO over the long run DC = Marvel

I still rate Infinity Saga as the best series yet.
I really enjoyed IC too.
I'd also rate secret wars pretty high :)

I'm not enjoying IC too much, but I'm biased: I'm not too familiar with any DC characters.
Though that refrence to Sandman kicked ass!
