Dune

I'm just curious if anyone on this forum has read Dune or any of its numerous sequals and prequals. I'm on the third book in the series myself. If anyone is considering reading it (hell, even if you aren't) I highly encourage you to do so.

I read the first two prequels, and have seen both sets of movies (both the original Dune and then the Sci-Fi remake of the series). I haven't read the actual first book yet, but I will eventually. I wanted to read the prequels first, but I'm waiting until they're all finished writing. The prequels are great reads if you know the basics of what happens in the novels.

weren't there like 5 books or something? I read 3 or 4 I can't remember, I was small and it was in russian.
