[64] Episode 64 = Good planning?

In the actual manga, Orihime and others arrived at the top of the Soukyoku hill after Aizen had left Soul Society.
However in the anime ep62, for no apparent reason, the animators changed it so that Orihime & co arrived much earlier, even before Byakuya.

Now in ep64, Orihime had a brief flashback about Byakuya saving Rukia which reminded her of her own brother. This flashback would never have occur if the anime followed to the manga perfectly.

So, did the animators deliberately made a change to fit in with the fillers? If they did planned it out all along, then we might be in for a well structured & organized filler arc.

This filler episode wasn't bad at all. So what if they changed a few things around? And no they didn't 'ruin' the story. They've been more effort into this than some other shows right now currently in 'filler-mode'.

We won't know if they'll be labeled as 'complete crap' until the arc is over and done with. And yes, the beginning of Bleach wasn't as action-oriented until the SS arc came along but that doesn't mean it was still pretty decent.

As for the filler arcs, the villains will have to have some sort of edge over the heroes. Mind you they shouldn't be outrageous. That and once they don't make Ichigo and co. weaker, then everything will be fine. Remember, power for the villains doesn't always equal fighting ability or the amount of reiatsu they can summon. There are things like intelligence and skills of manipulation (which was used in episode 64) that can be used as devices against Ichigo and co.

And I don't see Bleach going the way of DBZ. Ever.

bleach has already has gone dbzish.Dbz will always be an anime GOD period.

The whole ss arc ichigo always powered up at the end to win or to lose fights <<aim't taht dbzish.

Well there are some that believe it has, but I'm not one of them. I just don't see any basis within the anime or manga for it to be so. Maybe I'll consider it when an episode is shown where it takes someone 15 minutes to prepare their attack while everyone around them stands in awe.

'Powering up' and 'getting stronger' are two different things. At the end of each fight Ichigo fought he got stronger. He was able to use that extra strength each time he entered into a new battle. I can go on but we're not really here to discuss such a thing.

But as for this filler arc I'm definitely giving it a chance as the first episode was done with decent effort.

Well, the animators already changed things in canon episodes. I won't be surprised if they'll modify again the whole Renji/Urahara thing. Don't know how they'll do it though.

Plus, not all fillers suck. Saiyuki had the best fillers I've ever seen and others have mentioned that YuGiOh, One Piece also had decent fillers.

The Idate filler wasnt that bad, but then it got a whole lot worse. Just wait a few more eps, I garuntee that they'll be as bad, or worse, than Narutos.

And people, Naruto's Idate fillers were great. A lot of people enjoyed 102. Don't go saying Bleach fillers are automatically surperior when it's only been 1 episode.

lol well I'm glad to hear that the fillers are actually interesting, just hope they keep it that way.

and you know seriously, if you don't like the fillers, there are two very very simple solutions:
1.Don't read the manga, then you wouldn't know if they were fillers or not.
2. Don't watch the anime at all and stick to manga.

For example, my brother doesn't read the Naruto manga at all so he has nothing to compare the fillers to and he's already passed me (episode wise).

So for ANYONE that complains about the fillers in the next couple weeks, please read my solutions and pick one. If you can't then stfu thx. =)
When they start to become like Naruto fillers then you might have a reason to bash the fillers.

As for me, I'll at least give the fillers a try, actually I will watch them no matter what since Bleach is my #1 at the moment and Naruto has always been at #3 at the highest so I kinda already quit in the middle of the rescue Sasuke arc and the fillers just made me stop completely.
Although yes people hear the word "fillers" and they think "Naruto", Naruto's first filler episodes weren't that bad, I actually enjoyed them (eps 101-104? I believe) and Bleach is just great for me, it'll take a lot to get me to quit Bleach.

Hey, the truth of the matter is, it aint like the manga explicitly says Renji didn't meet Urahara before. He only just wanted to stay with him, and for some talk about Rukia, anything could have happened between that.

PLUS we know Renji is a regular in the real world in the movie too, so Kube Tite gave full three thumbs up!

I like the new filler. Heheh, with Bleach, I tend to enjoy the fillers more than the canon O_O The only thing I'm worried about is the filler making the canon stuff look bad.

I can't really comment on the quality of the fillers or not seeing as I haven't downloaded any subs yet, only looked at the raw. But, about people considering what they changed triival, it could be very essential to the storyline, at least in relation to Renji.
