For several years now, I've been trying to draw anime, and I suck at it!! My sister does better, and she's younger then me!! As a great anime fan, and future flash/AMV/music video desginer, can someone show me the basics of Naruto, or any anime drawings? *I really want to concentrate on face, costume, and weapon drawing, but I'm not the artist here, so help me out! Thanks!! :amuse*

Learn how to draw in general... sorry I know it doesn't seem like much help. But if you are at all serious about it, you need to know how to draw (not just anime).

Hehe, I draw, not great, but yeah, I've drawn many things!! From konai, to shuriken *not very good* My speciality is eyes, I can make eyes the best, yet, when it comes to drawing the 2nd one, it makes the face look... crooked. So... I just want to imrpove them I guess. You know.. :wink

First of all make sure you are comfotable with drawing basic human anatomy and proportions.

I've found this site pretty helpful: http://www.blazedent.com/tutorial_sketching.html (has a variety of different tuts, both realistic and comic style)

again make sure to get you are comfortable with normal drawing before doing anime/cartoon styles

if you can draw a basic person then tootaa's tutorials on drawing naruto characters might be helpful to you. Easy to follow and have some nice results for a variety of naruto characters

That's a great site Moridin! But there are many ways than just focusing on the human anatomy in order to reconstruct it to a cartoon.

One of the ways that I've found that worked for me is just drawing Manga or Anime characters from different series and focus on trying to get them in different positions. Than you could redraw them with different clothings, than overtime different eyes, arms, etc. Bulk them up or something.

I'm not saying this way is the best way, i'm just saying it's a possible way to do it.

ummm well I've been doing DBZ forever now and just started naruto drawings (a example here (http://forums.narutofan.com/showthread.php?t=82028))...well u baiscally draw an exaggerated human...bigger eyes...triangular nuse...etc...well anime isnt that limited and you can come out with your own styles...just practice practice practice (me...I took "adv." art in kindergarden so I've been practicing for a long time)

suggestion...post some of your work and we can help u with it
