This is a site full of anime and .hack//sign is in the submitted downloads section. The files are around 30-50 MB and require realone player to play. It's also english dubbed and they cut out the beginning and ending theme songs not like that really matters.

The site also contains some good anime and decent direct d/l speeds.

CMon you know you wanna join/ The .hack series makes for some of the best fanfiction since its got such a large and vast world with many possibilities. One of the reasons why I liked this series so much.

Games had a damn good story line too. Character development was damn good as well.

Rena = the girl in pink hair. She looks exactly like Blackrose but is not Blackrose because she won her character model in some contest along with her brother Shougo who won Kite's character model.

Ouka I guess is the wolf girl. I never really paid any imparticular attention to her other then apparantly shes a strong fighter and likes to flirt with Shougo a bit too much.

Rena is the Blackrose look-a-like.

Rena is Shougo's twin sister. They win some contest and get the legendary dothacker's character models of Kite and Blackrose. .hack//dusk happens after the game. Kite and Blackrose also have quit playing the game a bit after that.

Blackrose is the girl Kite meets in the game. When you first start playing the game other then Orca whos your best friend and he gets fricken owned by Skeith you have a run-in with Blackrose because I guess Kite was oggling her and she got pissed and chews you out for it.
You go to another zone and she invites you to "hidden forbidden holyground" which seems to be the ever so popular location for the series to always go around.
Blackrose is practically 2nd main charatcer of the game and is your closest friend while you try and rescue the coma victims and fix the game.

Now I remember. I saw that in the bookstore. It was in the manga section.

I hope G.U. has a more refined combat system then the original game. Hoping the graphics are a bit more refined too. Character models were great but the landscape needed some work and it practically turned into an annoying dungeon crawler since you had a variety of like 6 different distinctive world maps. The cities werent all that impressive and I would of liked to of been able to fight other characters and data drain their sorry asses.

I would of liked to of been a target of player killers and just ass rape them and datadrain them so bad.

They showed a preview in E3, and it looks better then the games. Then again, I haven't really played the games, just watched my cousin do all the hard work.

Have you played infection through quaranteen? I think they would of more success making the series into entirely an anime but there were some fun factors.

You got to get to know not only the character's online but they would email you and you could respond with different answers. Sometimes if you said the wrong thing they would stop responding so I always tried to appeal to them to find more about their characters. it was interesting.

Mistral which is the exact look alike(and practically same in-game personality as the treausre hunter girl is dust) was married and a house wife. She gets pregnant and gets a huge ass absense which makes you not want to rely on her so much.

I forget the name of the guy who the Samurai heavy blade guy whos all into Katanas. I do know hes all into old Japanese Samurai films.

Blackrose was on the tennis team. Theres a lot more about her real life but I forgot it all and would have to start up the game and read through about the zillions of emails the characters send you.

Thats about the best thing about the series is the characters have huge developement and a wide range of personalities.

Now I remember a bit about Blackrose. Shes in highschool(10th grade), on the tennis team and is like 15 or 14. I forget her exact age.
Kite responds saying that he is in 8th grade and is 12. :/
Blackrose responds making a comment about being like a "big sister".

I think she mentions something about being on the swim team or something along those lines. I guess shes very sports heavy. not surprizing since she seems to fall under the fiesty tomboyish type of girl.
Likes to use foul language too and bitch people out as well while Kite is more the reserved one of the 2.

heres how you meet Blackrose...

You run into Blackrose after your friend Orca gets owned by Skeith. Its a funny situation because she walks around like an total idiot and Kite just silently watches her. I mean cmon, just look at her and that outfit. If she doesnt want to catch attention dont dress so suggestively and make your character pink with yellow tattoos. About every male player would oggle her.

Hell, I had a similar situation when I was playing World of Warcraft. I got this wild ass looking set for my warrior who just so happened to be a night elf female and I had guys hitting on me all the time and commenting on my character. :P

Anyways, she then goes up to Kite and just chews him out its pretty silly. She then goes up to you when your about to use the chaos gate and she wants you to come with her to "hidden forbidden holyground" which is that weird cathedral place the series centers around a lot.

You go there and shes about as sissy as any little school girl(and quite frankly shes a little school girl so I guess she falls in the catagory very well) and your like "ehhh whatever' cause Kite has no idea what the hell that kind of place is.

You go in beat the crap out of this goblin while Blackrose freaks like a little school girl again...(she toughens up)
and then admits shes just a newbie was well just trying to act tough(oh we run into them daily) She then goes and tells you why she brought you here when Balmunk decides to show up and saay the place is not safe.

A data bug comes out and Balmunk then attacks it. Since it technically had infinte HP its impossible to kill until you awaken the Book of Twilight which gives you data drain. You data drain the fucking mob and then Balmunk one shots the shitty ass weak thing and then proceeds to offend and is ready to kill you. Blackrose then bitches Balmunk out which then he goes and runs off because Blackrose practically told him off. :P
Thats practically the beginning of the story. I barely touched the game because you dont even hit L2 before you meet Blackrose.

You dont really find out why she follows you into doing all the shit you get into. You get hinted in the beginning of the 2nd volume and I think in the 3rd volume you finally find out why.

The next spoiler tells you why.

She is searching for the cause of her younger brother for falling into a coma. Thats why she takes you to hidden forbidden holyground because shes such a pansy to go by herself since her brother was hospitalized from going to that place

Im going after all memory. Which is remarkbly pretty good for how detailed the series is.

The game story is remarkable too. I just like how whatever you seem to do just causes more destruction. You also can read news articles about what happens and when your defeating a phase like this one city loses all power. These network crashes and all hell just seems to be unleashed.

Kite starts doubting what they are doing is actually helping(which really it wasnt, but was necessary to grow through hell in order to save everything)

At the end of the 2nd chapter you jack up all the graphics in the route towns.

The PS2 is the greatest. So many great RPGs.

Plus its a good DvD player. The xbox requires you to buy some damn controller while the PS2 works just fine and dandy.

You also get the dothack//liminality series along with the game. That was alright. It really follows with the game and takes place in the real world with a few people. Its pretty interesting to see.

At the end of the game you get dothack//sign characters and I know A-20, Mimiru, Bear, and there was someone else who runs around town and you can trade with.

As for the characters you can play with are Subaru, Sora(he pisses me off cause he uses leet speak to communicate), Tsubasa, and I think there was a 4th one but dont really remember.

My favorite characters to use were Blackrose and Balmung.
Gardenia, Mistral, Wiseman, Natsume, and a few others I forget where some of my favorites to use. Theres a fricken a lot of characters in the game and when you start giving them junk and then just plow you with emails it was insane.

Theres this other girl that uses her god damn real name, I forget because its big. Its Rukio something or whatever. Shes the female axewielder with the wings resembling Subarau almost but is a bit taller and wears all white. Anyways she gets all into Kite because of his overly caring way he treats others(Kite is like the generic nice guy anime guy) but he isnt really getting chased after all the girls since really it focuses around Kite and Blackrose and Rukio or whatever is like side story to make some sort of minor love triangle.

Spoiler to some side story between Rukio whatever and Blackrose.
At the end of the game you get invited with Blackrose and Rukio or whatever to the same dungeon. Kite like "oh boy" because well both the girls didnt know they invited him to the same location. Well it practically becomes a huge "I wanna go left" and "I wanna go right" fight between the girls and they question why the other girl is there in the first place at the end. You then ultimately choose which one you should follow. I obviously picked Blackrose because well Rukio always pissed me off with her pathetically helpless attitude(I hate helpless girls and only like strong willed independant ones which is why I like Blackrose mainly)

I watched .hack//sign on CN when it was airring so thats all I know on that. Ive watched liminality and I have bits and parts of watching duck. Since Ive played the game I know about everything there is about the series since the games is the main part and main story to the series.

Sign is the beginning. Its when everyone is first finding out about all the problems going on in the system. The game starts a little after sign and you move on from there. Liminality takes place in the real world while Kite and Blackrose are trying to fight the wave. Which the game is mainly about.
Dusk is after Kite and Blackrose quit playing the game.

Personally, dusk was the worst installment of the series but doesnt mean it sucked. It was alright but where the series really shines is the game and if you havent played them your really missing out on the progress of the story. GU should be rather interesting with Kite looking all bad and such.

Balmung is a key character. he seems to show up all over the series. Hes mentioned and makes a brief show in sign. He then becomes a key supporting, almost main character in the game. You dont get to use him until Outbreak(3rd volume).
He then makes his show in dusk as a key supporting character again. I guess would could say the samething about Helba but I never really remember seeing her in dusk. She also becomes a playable character after you beat the game. Shes got her character so fricken hacked up its not fair. :P

DUSK was supposed to be a lighthearted comedy anime/manga. I HATED the endings, they just sucked. As hell. When you get a job you'll start to see the money flow Make sure to save that for more important things like college. You'll need it. Once you hit 18. Try to get your hands on a credit card. Use it like debit, but dont use debit since there can be hidden charged within there.

Building credit shows that your responsible with your money and will help you later on in life with getting moans or morgages you may have to do.

So once your old enough for a card get one(I got 1 from my bank for free just by starting up a checking account) and use that and only that where ever you go and buy. Its also useful on the internet. ^^

They are actually just a more easy way to manage your money. With an account you can have your money in 1 place really. You can spend it anwhere that allows Visa or any other credit card company like American Express or Master Card.

Mistral is pretty cool. To bad throughout most of the game she fricken decides to become unreliable and about the most useless character in the game other then Mia.

Soccer? That just falls under sports games and the only real sports game that I play are the racing ones and football. Halo is pretty fun though.

If you havent ever played an MMORPG(Multi Media Online Role Playing Game.. I think...) are online RPGs such as .hack the series is based off "The World".

Real MMORPGs consist of Everquest, Final Fantasy XI, Ragnorak Online, Star Wars Galaxies, World of Warcraft, and other such games that are out there. You practically just play as a character apart of the world taking part in quests with other people travelling across massive lands finding all sorts of neat stuff.
Many things which you'll do is going into dungeons, killing monsters(which will probably be the majority of your time this is what is called grinding which is killing monster after monster for items or experience) fighting other players(WoW really works of this through their battlegrounds and which I mainly particapated in I loved PvP and I was good at it too) the greatest part about MMORPGs was the experience of meeting people. Guilds(Crimson Knights is what would be considered a guild) are just a player based organized group to do things. When I played WoW I was apart of a PvP guild and at a regular basis we would form a party with the same people practically and play capture the flag in organized play. There were PvE(these guilds focus on doing dungeons) guilds and they would simply do the dungeons. A lot of these guilds required to make parties of up to 40 members to do the most difficult dungeons. Special events dont exactly pop up regularily but that just depends on the company's policy and how they want to run the game. I do remember blizzard setting up events like the faire which was pretty cool and there would be rare monsters popping up. They also had lock out times in the hardest dungeons so guilds arent farming several times a day(or week, some places have a 5 day lock out timer and allowed guilds to not have to accomplish completing them on that day because these places can take up to 5 hours to get entirely through) Getting 40 people to stay in a dungeon for 5 hours requires a pretty hardcore and dedicated group.

How much Silver Knight pisses me off! Hes like the most annoying character in the entire thing. Always preaching about justice and shit... drives me nuts.

Id be his sworn enemy just because he pisses me the hell off. I love how player killing seems to be illegal in the game. Usually to avoid such things from happening attacking other players is removed from the game to prevent player killing. :/

The Crimson Knights would also become a popular target for player killers. It was practically like that with the top players on my server and whoever was in a well known guild.

Since I was in one... and it was about the most popular pvp guild... yeah we were fun to blabber about when we got ganked. I do remember joiing up with the horde which was the other faction and on teamspeak or vent we would just run through areas and gank the hell out of each faction and then have the other player ofthe other faction mock them since theres a damn language barrier between the factions.

I finished watching sign again. I must say it very much impressed me more so then the last time I watched it.

Figured out the scenes of where the .hack game characters are animated by the same people who did sign. It was the very last episode of the sign series. :/
I guess I didnt really bother watching the last 2 episodes on cartoonnetwork. For good reason too. The 2nd to last episode is nothing but a rebuddle of the entire anime and well I wouldnt of thought there was a 28th episode. :/

They only showed the main game characters though like Kite, Blackrose, Mistral, Orca(whos not that main he only gets data drained in the beginning and you dont get to use him until you beat the final boss) Balmung, Elk, and Mia.

Im onyl really familar with .hack//sign and somewhat with .hack//legendSakisaka? He's from .hack//RootsHe quits the game after Ovan disappears. Supposedly, he comes back in .hack//G.U. Vol.3, but not as a playable character.

Ive been meaning to get my hands on the GU video games since I did beat the original series. An impressive story to say the least. Wish they did a little more when it came to graphics, and side stories though.
