Final Fantasy VI's Ultima vs Any other magic

FFVI's Ultima spell was pretty much the most powerful spells of all time, not to mention it looked pretty cool.

The only other spell off the top of my head that comes close, is Meteo, classic power spell, close second, but in FFVI, it was shitty. :mad


What spell can stop Ultima? It's the best non-elemental super spell ever, and it looked like cool!

Who can stand up to Ultima? Juggernaut? NO WAY! Superman? HAHHAHA no. Green Lantern? I don't think so.

Yes, Ultima is the ultimate spell. Heck, it's short for ultimate.

I always liked Lina's "Dragon Slave" because the chant had just the right feel to it. Really screamed "black magic" to me.

FFVII's Meteo was total pwnage, but you could argue it was a summoning and not a spell =D

"Abi-Dalzhim's Horrid Wilting" was an awesome area of effect spell, and its name is a 11 on the awesome scale.

"Timestop" in all its incarnations is potentially stronger than any direct damage spell.

As for what can stop Ultima...

Nothing defeats Ultima, but maybe the big bang spell of Xenogears might stand a chance. It harnesses the powers of the big bang doesn't it?

Oh and then there's Ultima from FF9 which was so powerful that you couldn't even use it....but in FF6 ultima usually had to be dealt with by having auto life cast when Kefka did it, or else you were looking at a game over screen :oh.
