yea, i noticed that. lol, they are treating this filler like it's an ordinary part of the series. I think we should get used to this filler villians, as i think unlike naruto (whose arcs max at 6 eps), this filler arc may last the rest of the season or maybe more (ala yugioh or kenshin filler)

Me too - I was really worried that he was gonna be left out due to his recent handicap but the closing credits show him all fight mode with (LOVE IT) his sowing needles!

SO far this filler seems great! I don't know very much japanese, so i dont know what was said..but it seems like a comical first episode

Well, they did change the story alittle. But I was kinda expecting that anyway. I mean they want to make the filler as entertaining as possible, but the thing is they are doing filler when all ur fav chars are supposed to be back in SS or will have no powers for a good while (Ishida). But it's not that significant that it'll change the story much.

It is wierd that they don't seem to use the 2 remaining months of summer for the filler period and simply start the school year afterwards just as it's placed in the manga - a new start of the year works well as a marker of the new arc AND the new canon episodes.

Furthermore, the surprise visit at school would be so much more dramatic and exciting if he doesn't have much contact with soul society during the interum.

I just finished watching it.:amuse Enjoyable, to say the least. Maybe it seems okay to me because I don't read the manga.:P It does seem to be doing fillers in Yu-Gi-Oh style, so that shouldn't be too bad. By that I mean a season or so for a long arc with a long and convoluted storyline.:P

I totally enjoy the new closing though.XD So catchy and upbeat.:laugh I'm guessing those little rag dolls are used by one of the filler villains, a puppetmaster, I'm guessing. So now instead of rescuing Rukia... it's turned into a rescue Orihime arc.;) I wonder how long she's going to wait around and think, "Kurosaki-kun..." or "Why am I so weak and useless?"

Ooooh, and the way Urahara and company treated Renji... ugh... so inhospitable.:P It would totally make me run out of there too. Haha, I was actually thinking that he'd swing by Ichigo's place and get dinner there... and then become used to the large servings and hospitality there that he just decides to crash there instead.XD Hehe, Ichigo and Renji... roommates.XP

that ep was quite hilarious at times, it also seems to be developing an interesting plot. I can overlook the bits that might contradict the manga if the rest keeps up that blend of comedy and action :)

The whole Urahara Shouten meal scene was just hilarious XD

I want to find out whats going on with Inoue's brother, whether that was a puppet/illusion of if it was actually him and if so how did he get there

-60's style Renji
-characters act like they are supposed to unlike coughnarutocough
-little Orihime is CUTE
-decent animation
-you know what's funny? the artwork is actually better than most episodes

So yeah, I enjoyed this episode a lot more than I though I would.

This new threat feels like an actual threat - looking forward to some action! The Renji/Ichigo banter is so good that it's totally worth even a slight inconsistancy. And I liked how they incorporated the start of the next manga arc just to act as a transition - it gave the filler a place and weight.

I was pleasently suprised by this episode.

Hahaha, was any else crackign up when Ichigo's dad was like "I see an opening!" and nailed him in the face in the middle of a convo. Oh, a season of that would be ever-so much to my liking!

hahaa, it was also good when Chado began to train. He blow the hole in the wall then both him and Inoue were like "crap". hahaha. It's nice to know that they can't just go practicing their powers just anywhere if they don't want to make a scene.

I'm very anxious to see the next one.

Ichigo already ex-roommate is Rukia but Renj will next roommates , Poor Ichigo dont have own room since he share Rukia in past then Renj and KON!!

I don't know about the ending - it might have to grow on me. Right now its too cheery for my taste. But so far I have prefered Bleach's openings immensely better than the ending songs so it remains that way, so be it.

Good filler...made it seem like it was actually part of the series not just some random thrown in bs like Naruto's. Hope the rest of the eps are as good as this. They do interfere with the manga story a bit but they have to do that otherwise they'll be too boring.

There was one episode where they showed that bird who was a kid and the hollow who did many bad deeds during his life and while a hollow and it showed him going to hell or something and a gate that looked like that one (from what i remember)

I believe Orihime already mentioned that she actually did remember that event in an earlier episode/chapter (not exactly sure where but I think around when Ichigo first learned that she had powers or when she explains what Ichigo means to her).

They weren't tempting him to have seconds, they were making him feel guilty about asking for seconds. That's why they were referring to him as Freeloader-dono, Freeloader-san, Freeloader-kun. He's staying with them as a guest... but he doesn't pay for any of it. They're sheltering and feeding him of their own... uh... "goodwill", I guess.:oh It would be rather rude to do that if one was the host and had a guest over though... if they weren't playing a joke, but instead were being serious, I would think that they were really... cheap and greedy instead of just being fun ass-holes.

This episode was a mix of actual material in the manga and anime filler.

For instance the beginning scene of Ichigo waking up until class starting actually occured in the manga. Later the scene with Kon complaining about his tear occured as well.

Anyway for a filler it was suprisingly...Good.
