I read somewhere that they were the newest batch of chuunin, so they were responsible for conducting the chuunin exams.

Not too sure about the ages though. The Narutofan character database says they're 24 but I think they look 15 xD.

These two chuunins are very cool! They seemed to be very smart and I think they might be the strongest shinobi in the chunnin level (just my oppinion). During the last fights of the chuunin exam, it was cool when they started to analyze the fights between Naruto-Neji, and Shikamaru-Temari...

Do Kotetsu and Izumo play major roles later on in the manga? I don't read the manga, but I'm up to the current anime (ep. 160), and it seems like they just (1) administered the Chuunin exam, (2) almost died while trying to fight off the Sound 5 (2) run around doing odd jobs for Tsunade-sama, and (3) yell at Tsunade-sama when she falls asleep instead of doing her important Hokage work.

Don't get me wrong, they're still awesome (and always will be)...but I'd love to see them having bigger roles. Who's with me?! :woo

Okeaninai: What's this OVA you've been talking about? (what is an OVA, anyway? :laugh) Yeah, the guys chasing Naruto probably are Izumo & Kotetsu. I don't have the episode on my computer anymore (my brother deleted the old episodes because they're such huge files :cry), so I can't actually confirm that...but seems like something Izumo & Kotetsu would be assigned to do (taking care of troublemakers and whatnot).

anyway, the OVA that is being talked about is an OVA that coems with one of the newer Naruto Games (i think the Ps2). it was made by the animation team from the anime, and its purpose is to provide clues for the RPG part of the game, so it doesnt make much sence unless you have the game.

but, its still intresting to watch, there's little snippets of shinobi fighting. There was a link to a download of it but it doesnt seem to work anymore.

hopefully, it will be translated by DB, but who knows if that will happen.

Yeah, I should have saved the episdoes to discs...except my monster-of-a-brother (:laugh) deleted them before I got to them. He says that there'll be too many episodes to keep on discs. I wish I had at least gotten some of the really good arcs (like the beginning, the Chuunin arc, etc.) on disc though.

I could re-download them, but they take forever and a half. :cry Ah well, it's okay. Maybe I'll do it...someday...

nope - this game is 3rd in a series and is currently not going to be avalible in the US. the OVA is completly in japanese, as is the game.

besides, it's for the PS2.

now, if only i had a gamecube......

maybe when you get a better computer, or a computer of your own (or a dvd burner) you can download them again - or, you could do it during the summer and then save them to disk so that they don't stay on your computer for a long time.

if you save them to dvd you can fit about 25 episodes. on a cd, you'd be able to save maybe, 3 or 4.

there was a time where you could download it. one of the links i know of doent seam to work anymore (as a a few days ago). this link can be found in the Naruto OVA thread in Konoha TV.

someone else in this thread had a link to it but you had to be a memember of the LJ community to have access to the link. and that link i don't think was working now either.

so, lots of people are hoping that the clip will get to DB to be subbed and enjoyed by all. Who know's if that will happen, especially since it's really only important and makes sence to thoes who have the game, as it gives clues to the people playing the game.

Oh well! ^-^ Anways, it was really funny how many times you watched the Japanese verison and that you never noticed how Kotetsu sniffed a few times. When we watched it yesterday I was listening it was like... Who just sniffed? Then I realized it was Kotetsu. And then we looked to see if he did in the manga, and he did! xD So, we got all hiked up to watch the dubbed version to see if he does , and to hear their dubbed voices. They got pretty good voices, as well. *nods*

Of course I'd like to join! Kotetsu and Izumo are the dynamic duo of Naruto. Like Batman&Robin (but I'm not shure who is the Batman and who is Robin Oo) or The Sannin (only that they're 2), they just ain't good without each other (see what it did to Iruka... if he had a cool partner he would also be awesome Chunin not just a plain "Nice Guy" Chunin)!
