Heyy I've been wondering this for awhile but how do people add trees, grassy plains, mountains and etc. to their wallpapers? Do they just extract it from another pic or do they draw it themselves? If you know please tell me how to cause I've been wanting to try adding grassy plains and mountains to something I'm working on thanks

If you really want a quick and easy way to make scenery, use the Terrain Generator, AKA Terragen.

Right now they're still working on version 2, which will have vegetation and clouds, but it's worth trying the first one to learn the basics.

I think that's a bit to realistic...

As for the topic, well I have practiced drawing trees quickly on a seperate piece of paper, and it's the only way to do it.

As for grass, if you're using photoshop or something alike, make a brush that could help you with this.
Old drawing in which I used a brush to make the grass... (http://www.deviantart.com/view/8857125/)
