I hope this is in the right spot, not really asking for art help but theres not any general art forum to my knowledge.

I know having a reference for poses helps drawing people a lot, but I have no clue where to get these kind of poses short of having someone pose, or posing in the mirror... while still somehow seeing myself. Do I just have some seriously bad luck in google?

morguefile.com is pretty good, though some retards put random pictures up instead of drawing references.

Your best bet is to get to know the way the body is set up. Then you can draw poses yourself without needing to copy something. Otherwise, use magazines and photographs. You can always just pose yourself and "feel" what the postition should look like or look in a mirror.

There are lots of things to use as references--the most useful of which I think are photos or magazine ads (which usually have some pretty good poses and perspectives).

Also, something I do a lot is watch people in between classes and copy down a quick stick figure form to build off of later. Stick figure forms really help, actually.

Good luck!!
