Yes I believe he will, although it was said he would lose his powers and perhaps even his life I believe? I think it'd be dumb to make him completely useless so I'm sure he'll get his powers back in some capacity. Although he'll probably always be a notch or two below Ichigo and the more skilled captains. Whatever happened to the captain who was supposed to come back after him anyway?

yeah I think he will :amuse
It would be pointless to have him alive then.
So he'll probly get his powers back

Chouji never died after taking the red pill in Naruto.
Ishida will probably miraculously get his powers back, but he won't be as strong and will have to develop his powers over again.

I'd personally like it better if he didn't get his powers back. One) I'm not a huge fan of Ishida so maybe I'm biased, 2) I like the idea of him losing his powers so he could beat that captain. Kind of sacrificed himself to save Orihime and so forth. 3) I'd rather him take on a new role or something. Maybe help develop things with urahara or something (I put no thought in that. I know it's a stupid idea. But you get the general idea hopefully).
yeah but urahara kept his powers...
anyways yeah I think he will get his powers restored to him and he would train to get him even stronger than the way he was with his glove, I mean he didn't even KILL that captain so it would seem that everything he did was in vain so far

I'm sure he'll get his powers back. He's an important character, he won't be rendered useless for the rest of the manga - he'll be back and more powerful than ever, since he'll sort of keep up with Ichigo (for example, they were both able to fight and defeat captains). He's the only one of Ichigo's friends who has a hope of keeping up, in fact, which makes it all the more important that he keeps his powers... it'd suck if all of Ichigo's friends/classmates became deadweights. Besides, while his sacrifice was cool and all, it was rather useless - not only did he fail to kill Mayuri, but the fight was completely unimportant anyway. It had no significance to the arc as a whole at all.
So yeah, he'll get his power back. I think he'll be constantly as strong as he was after removing the glove... he might get another powerup at a later date, too. But for now, if he's going to be useful, he'll need constant post-glove power IMO.

I think he will; there wouldn't be much point to having him around if he doesn't.
There's probably some kind of footnote or hidden document that he has yet to discover that allows a Quincy to regain their powers. The warning of losing Quincy powers once the glove is taken off is most likely there as a prevention against people abusing that technique or using it too liberally. Or maybe Ishida's dad knows something, I don't think we've really seen much from him yet.
As for how strong he is, I really don't know. My guess is that he'll probably be as strong as he was with his glove on, or maybe a bit stronger than that. It'd make him too uber if he was as strong as he was post-glove. I think his powers should be strong enough to act as a decent backup for Ichigo.

As one of the main characters, I'd also be surprised if he lost his powers for good. It may end up being a bit like when Ichigo had to regenerate his powers, some kind of rite of passage that gives him more strength. And with the level of the enemies at this point it would seem that he would need to be at least captain level to be of use.

I think they would've used it to save themselves from being exterminated. I mean even a handful of Quincy stronger than post glove Ishida would be able to hold their own against captains, and captains should be able to hold their own against hundreds of unseated Shinigami so theres no way they could've been eliminated without a huge fight.
I think Ishida could become a side character without too much fighting potential, like Ganju was. He does have the highest scores in the class and tons of information, so even if he couldn't fight, he'd still be useful. Maybe he could teach Sado and Orihime to become Quincy.

Stronger than post-glove.
Otherwise he´d drop out. And there´s no reason for him to train, just to get owned right away.

Well, taking off the glove meant losing their powers afterwards anyway. For them to lose their powers would basically mean the end of the Quincies (since they would then become normal humans), unless of course it is possible for them to 'train' others to become Quincies with their prior knowledge like you suggested.
Ganju, well, he has more fighting potential than Ishida without his powers. And I think the point of Ganju was also to bring up the death of Shiba Kaien, though so far I don't think there's been much on that whole story altogether.
I don't see how Ishida's having highest scores in the class would play much of a role in the story. :laugh And in terms of information, I think Urahara and Yoruichi have kinda taken over the role for that.

I think it is quite obvious that he will get his powers back. The question is how he will do to get them back without having to become Ichigos enemy and never see him again.....

Yeah, definately and I think he'll be at the same level as his dad or close to it.

My statement was in response to a quote that theres a way to get stronger than post glove after you take off your glove. So it only made sense if you read it with the assumption that it was possible to get even stronger permanently.
Yeah, definately and I think he'll be at the same level as his dad or close to it.
Is his dad even a Quincy/have Quincy powers?(although if thats a spoiler, you best not speak)

His dad probably would know how to get him better, but i really dont think he even knows how to use the bow. if he did know then why wouldnt he have taught ishida. kinda like in karate kid or some movie. the dad = business man = not a good fighter.
Well my old Dragon Ball Z days tell me that it is possible to have some useless characters,... but my bet is on becoming stronger. He hasn't settled his Mayuri feud yet.

I vote he delegates it to Inoue. I mean, theres no way to escape being split in half. Plus, any captain being killed by Orihime would be pure piss-on-your-corpse pwnage

I reckon he will. It seems that he will be hanging around with Ichigo a lot more, and I guess he would want to be more powerful than him.
But I wouldn't know how strong he would become...

I can't imagine he not getting his powers back. What would he do without his powers really? I guess he will have to builld them up again in some way.
