Ack, Anyone had problems with 'loading' in Star Ocean: Till the End of Time?

Yo

Well, after my old PS2... broke down... i just received another from Ebay.
Its second-hand but it runs FFIX and Killzone fine, the only other two games i'v tried so far, so i doubt my problem is the consol.

Well, looking forward to getting on with my many-months put off saved games for Star Ocean TtEoT, i put in my original copy, loaded up fine and i got to the starter screen without a problem.

I click load and the Music cut off and it didnt seem to be able to load up the load screen, i could hear the PS2 straining.

So, i get out a second copy of the game i own, and same as the other it was fine up til i clicked 'Load' on the Menue.

Once again all stop, just a blank screen with the PS2 straining to get further.

Just wondered if anyone else had had the same problem at any time and if they had managed to fix it? :cry

i had no problems at all, when i loaded mine it took only seconds, i don't no wat's the problem with ur PS2 though, o yeah i have a question, why did u buy it on E-bay?? was is cheaper, cause wat would of been more trustoworthing is to buy the system at game stores like eb or GS, and did u just buy the game?? Pre-owned or New?? Any scratches? and is the PS2 pre-owned?

Well i have some sofware that lets me play Imported games on my Pal system, but it only works with the Old style PS2 and the shops around me only stock Slim PS2s :P
Either way it seems to play other games fine, just SO its having problems with.

Both copies are scratched one preowned and the other bought new once upon-a-time :P but no more than any of my other games.

Plus it seems not to be just loading, i tried starting a new game to Load from the ingame menue and it locked up there too.

My new PS2 just seems to hate in-game SO ¬_¬
