There's possibly hunters who may be able to take him down one on one considering how we have yet to see the high level people fight seriously and from what we've seen already... Kurapica, Netero, Ant King, and some of the Genei Ryodan and Zoldeyck family, maybe not one one, but considering how Yondaime was at least able to face him and even subdue himself and cast a jutsu, possibly going all out they can.

Im positive that any of the stronger hunters(Netero, Zoldicks, Fighter Types of the Ryodan, Ant King, Royal Guards, Novu, Morau, Hisoka) can take him down 1 on 1.

Ah, i agree with the other posters. Altough the Kyuubi is hard to deal with judging by it's size. On the other hand, in one chapter we see Gin sitting on top of a huge dragon which is also sitting on an even bigger dragon. I think the hxh world can stand up against the Kyuubi.
