Can anyone survive the third impact?

Can anyone? In the movie everyone practically died.Though in teh anime world there are plently of people who can.

The only people who could survive third impact were indiviuals who were inside Eva's and ALSO rejected Human Instrumentality. Both Shinji and Asuka did this.

Everyone else didn't really "die"...They just became part of a collective entity as part of Humanity's next step in evolution.
