Yeah I don't think they follow hierarchy too strictly in this show, so even if it would be rare for Azula to take the throne in reality, this show inparticular would probably enforce it if necessary.

That's an interesting thought. It might be used to initiate some character development between Zuko and Sokka and/or Katara, to help them get to understand each other a bit better.

I think Iroh is the stronger of the two, but he's not power-hungry like his younger brother. He could probably kill Ozai if he wanted, but probably can't bring himself to do it.

I would say until recently Ozai was. Both are master Fire Benders so in that regard I actually expect them to be about equal. However before Ozai was in better physical shape than Iroh which I think would likely have given him the edge to win in a fight against them. However now I'm thinking that physical edge goes to Iroh obviously.

Yeah, Sokka hates "The Fire Nation" so I guesse that does include Zuko as well. As for Toph, she'll definately be the first. She can read abnormalities in the body so she'll be able to instantly tell if he's lying about wanting to join the group. They also share a common friend/ mentor, Iroh.

Pretty much what I'm thinking. Aang&co. won't trust him, and think he's trying to bullshit them again (like he did with Katara) I think it will come down to Zuko and them fighting Combustion Man, and a position will appear that Zuko has to make the decision as to who to save. It's hard for me to explain. I think it will be similiar to Zuko's betrayal against Katara in Ba Sing Se, except it will be portrayed where he's siding with Aang's group, and not against them. This will be used to show he really does have the best intentions with joining them.

Everything depends on Combustion Man recovering from Toph's hit on his 3rd eye. He can't do much without it. The way it's going, I wouldn't be surprised if Combustion Man eventually joins the gang.

I agree that Zuko is going to have a hard time winning their trust. I can see Toph or one of the non-main characters (maybe Haru) being a little more willing to believe him. Whatever happens, Zuko's going to be 'alone in a group' for a little while. If they let him join him, the initial reasoning may just be that they can keep a better eye on him that way.

Zuko will have to do something (somewhat drastic) to win the trust of everyone. It may be Sparky Sparky Boom Man, who knows?

I do think that much amusement will shower upon us from interactions between Zuko, Sokka, and Toph. Toph may even adopt Zuko as a 'big brother'. smile-big

I think this was pretty much summed up already, but yeah. I think it's more of a disturbing way of fighting than anything. Morally wrong, probably that you're screwing around with a person's rights. Of course it should be used as a last resort, self defense, but one man stabbing the other out of self defense can be morally wrong and illegal if it's not infact, a last resort.

Basically nailed it. It might show conflict with Aang upon learning it too, and he may remember how dangerous he was when trying to bend fire and be unsure whether him and others would benefit from learning the last form of bending. Nothing like a little preteen angst to spice up a show.

I realize that I hated them as much as I hated myself.

I think it's time for me to leave.

Nick will not be airing avatar episodes this week. Instead they are airing Spongebob new episodes. Another thing, after episode ten Nick most likely won't be airing episodes for weeks because at the beginning of the season, it was stated that they would air the first ten episodes straight (lies). Though they haven't done that, it still means that they have the episodes in their possession. However, a month or two month break might be taken from the series afterwards (same thing happened in Season Two).

CN may have messed with some cartoons but they know where their money comes from. Like you said, they handle Ben 10 properly, this is because it's one of thier most popular shows and brings in the most money. Avatar, if aired on CN, would be an instant hit and CN would know exactly what to do with it. They would place it at a time in which they could get most viewers and advertise a lot. Ben 10, for example, is an after-school show, has a lot of branded merchandise and even has a Live-Action movie coming out for it. In such hands, Avatar could not go wrong.

The live-action Ben 10 movie has already been aired over the Thanksgiving break. Truth is Nickelodeon is the bigger of the two networks ratings-wise so it has a better chance of getting ratings over there. Cartoon Network treats it's shows well...as long as they do well. Judging by the popularity of Avatar on Nick, it wouldn't have had a problem if the schedule was right. No worrying about Hannah Montana or Wizards of Waverly place in the same time slot. Thing is the show before Avatar, which is Back At The Barnyard, gets like a 4 share with about 3.5 million people watching...and Avatar hasn't cracked the top 20 cable ratings once since Season 3. It's as if people do a mass exodus after watching absolute garbage and end up watching some Disney Channel tripe. Back at the Barnyard? How is Avatar receiving their scraps???? Why are they should be the question.

Yeah Spongebob has been their cash cow for quite some time now, it's no longer the Ren & Stimpy station of our youth. You better believe that if Avatar would get those ratings or even close to them...it'd be much better treated. Though I don't know that seeing a series with a rich mythology rerun all the time would still retain it's value. If the episodes would get rerun at the very least 2 times during the week, Fridays at 8:30pm wouldn't be the only time to catch them and more people would be caught up. Not everyone cares about downloading a show they watched over the net...or know how. Many do not have a Tivo and show me the person who still records using a VCR.

Nah don't ever worry about that. Avatar will have a true series finale and Nick will not interfere with that. It won't suffer the same fate as Invader Zim. The show will end at exactly episode 21 Chapter 20...if you're confused about that then check a few pages back for the explanation.

This episode was released accidentally along with the rest of the third season from the employees of Nickelodeon. The site that attributed them to downloading the episodes, began to offer fans these episodes in exchange to obtain the right to observe them in order and without the option to download, it was a service that was offered until recently for some reason.
After the failure of the full moon invasion, Aang and what is left of his team take refuge in the Western Air temple, which is known as the place of training for the Women Air Nomads and was supposedly the first target of the fire nation when the war began 100 years ago because of its closeness. Aang remembers the first impression he had when seeing the Southern Air Temple invaded and devastated by the fire nation and believes it will be the same at the Western Air Temple, but to his surprise, this place is completely intact, as if they even inhabited it, Momo even finds other lemurs - flying like him. Teo remembers that the Northern Air Temple where he lives, was abandoned when his town first arrived there and it was not until they were based there that the fire nation found the place. Reason suggests perhaps that it had been abandoned before the attack of Ozai. Aang seriously questions what really happened with his people and begins to cross the temple ring to obtain answers. While they advance, somebody is observing them between the shades. While ours heroes discover the secrets of the true disappearance of the Air Nomads,
Iroh has met with the secret society of the White Lotus to carry out a plan that, being briefly explained, has been devised since his brother obtained power and was also reviewed in the secret meeting in the episode "the Desert" to cooperate against the followers of Firelord Ozai to recover the throne that by birth right belonged to Iroh. When he was exiled, the mother of Zuko revealed the truth to Iroh from the beginning, and is the reason why Iroh has pretended to be old and good natured this whole time with the hope of suspicions never rising against him. In this reunion, some well-known characters can be recognized who in reality were members of the Secret society of the White Lotus, in which specifies Jeong Jeong, the old one that helped Iroh and Zuko in "the Desert" and Ursa, the mother of Zuko who has always been protected by the secret society.
Returning to the Air temple, Sokka suggests that it is probable that all the Air Nomads did not have to be in the temples when the fire nation attacked, because it is well known that the air nomads were always taking constant trips and this gives Aang hopes that perhaps some might still be alive and might be hiding inside. In order to obtain answers, they go to the secret chamber that all the Air Temples have. Nevertheless, before he could open it, Zuko is before them and Toph exclaims that it would be wise that he get going. Everybody attacks him and although Zuko defends himself well with his swords, he is caught and contained. Nobody trusts him for obvious reasons, although Zuko insists that he is different now and proposes to teach the Avatar Firebending, which they take as a lie, which is the reason why they keep him prisoner and are in possession of his swords. Zuko does not offer resistance in an attempt to demonstrate humility on his part. Aang opens the door of the chamber and when entering it, finds painted on the walls a series of figures that illustrate what appears to be a secret technique of the Airbenders, so devastating that it is considered prohibited: Climate-Control. Aang says that like basic air, he understands how to do it, but fears its consequences. Also it is inferred by the mural that a method exists to recover the Avatar State that Aang lost, but unfortunately, only the Air bending masters have this knowledge. Toph detects a secret chamber, which they open and inside they find a map of the air nation that describes all the locations to be inhabited by the Air Nomads, between which it emphasizes, all of the temples known up till this moment, and a secret monastery where the air nomads presumably have been hiding all these years, which gives Aang greater hopes to find some of his people.
Nevertheless, his happiness is interrupted by an airship and Air ballons of the fire nation led by Azula, which remembers the fury of her father for disgracing him by lying about the death of the Avatar and as punishment was ordered to follow him and to end him along with her treacherous brother. All those that can fight are thrown into battle and do what they can to contain them. They hold onto Zuko because of distrust, but he advises them to escape. During the battle, Toph is wounded and is protected by Sokka, to which she later kisses him in gratitude, and makes sure he is the one who receives the kiss. During the battle, Azula and Aang fight in the armor of a ship, they battle and Aang seems to be losing although Azula strangely uses her powers moderately. But then Zuko appears and he attacks Azula Furiously, making her a little nervous and back down. Azula is cornered by Zuko and Aang, but the ship makes a sudden movement that causes a distraction, which Azula takes advantage of to send a powerful to Aang but Zuko intervenes and disperses the s so that they provoke an uncontrolled fire. The ship begins to explode by the gas that maintains it afloat, which was the reason why Azula avoided the use of much fire in her attacks. Seeing the danger, Aang escapes in his Glider saving Zuko and tries to do the same for Azula, but is too late for her. Azula is surrounded by explosions and the airship collapses in s to the abyss.
After the victory, they welcome Zuko to the group, and being afraid of new attacks they leave the Temple in search of a place that's safer to begin training Aang Firebending. Nevertheless, someone mysteriously appears that had been observing them and emerges between the shades, revealing a young woman of unknown aspect that, once Appa disappears in the horizon, takes a staff which becomes a Glider and takes flight in their direction, which portrays her like an Airbender but mysteriously without its tattoos.

The part where Ursa reveals the truth to Iroh disturbs me since it looks like Iroh has been keeping the truth about Ursa hidden from Zuko all this time. If I was Zuko I would be pretty mad at Iroh for not telling him about his mother. If Zuko was told the truth earlier, all that happened back at Ba Sing Se could have been avoided :mad. I'm also not too fond of the Tokka moment :nerve.

I'm not holding my breath though, I do expect a lame excuse as to why the episode won't be there until some later date. By the way to the above poster...I guess that considering how long it took for all of the 2nd season to air last year and how quick this one is going, yeah it's a bit strange that it's ending so soon. No three month breaks after every five episodes. FYI, there'll be 21 episodes this season dude to The Day Of Black sun making up chapter 10 so The Western Air Temple will actually be episode 12 chapter 11

I was looking at the website for chapter 312, hoping that they would get a release earlier than the episode but that doesn't seem the case. The episode will either come out this week or next week since the website stated that "312 will be coming out next week!". That message could have been posted last week, which could mean that it is in reference to this week. We will just have to wait and see.

Iroh knew the secrets behind everything all this time so I'm guessing that he did not tell Zuko because of Zuko's destiny to "restore the balance". If he told Zuko the truth, Zuko might have just persued his mother instead realizing his true destiny.

If this Spoiler only describes one episode, than its 99% made up IMO
(i am putting them in spoiler Tags 'thou, if they are true, but just scattered around more than one episode

- its just to much happening for one ep, too important events, that would distract from each other, thereby weakening the impact
- Azula wont die at this point in the series, and not that way, that would be a waste of potential (and if the episode is really this full-packed, there wont be much time for her to talk->too much loose ends for her characterwise

But it would be sad if the spoilers not true, 'cause i really like it, so i hope it includes some more episodes, i escpecially like the Tokka part, with Toph making sure its really Sokka this time ;-) really sounds like the writers style and would be hilarious.
Also climate bending, Ursa beeing White Lotus and another airbender is something i really want to see.
The way Zuko is concluded into the group is one of the more believable ones too.
