Fuckin awesome episode! I skimmed through, but yea, they covered everything all to the recovery part. Tousen looks mad cool in the flashbacks. Go Black People!:P And Aizen, I know alot of fan-girls are going to be going crazy for that "change" scene. Best episode in my opinion, and the animation/drawing was good.

They cut out some parts though, like the invasion of the other gate keepers. Or am I mistaken?

:yell ahh no gate guardians, well thats too bad, but at least they went back and did Tousen's backstory part the left out before like I predicted they would. I like the animation for this ep. Especially the shot of the 3 enemies with different backgrounds.Maybe theyre planning on switching things around with those 3 and having them attack under Aizens control next ep as the gang tries to leave or something. But that made Kuukaku and Jidanbou seem alot more usefu

He even starts out with glasses, then takes them off and has a little piece of hair that hangs down like superman does. Did this happen when she was a baby or after she entered the Kuchiki house? It had to have been when she was a baby because she would've known about it now, but when she was a baby... she was just a poor Rukongai nobody.

This all seemed like a randomly thrown in plotline (the Hisana stuff) to me.

Also, as many have said, they cut a scene out that was in the manga. I dun think it would be spoilers, since they didn't put it in period.

Here's what happened.

As soon as Yoruichi and Soi Fong had Aizen in their deathlock, the OTHER 3 Gate Keepers (Hiko Nyuudo, Danzou-maru, and Kaiwan) smash down from out of nowhere and try to attack Yoruichi, with Aizen saying that she cant hold him back and fight them at the same time. However, right b4 Kaiwan could attack her, Jidanbou came out of nowhere and stopped him. Kuukaku then used that Hadou (Raikou-Hou) to knock out Hiko. Then Jidanbou said that they were being controlled, so he knocks them out.
That's basically what was cut out. Too bad though...it was awesome.

I loved the episode. I actually read the chapters afterwards. I was kinda disappointed by their exclusion of 3 people, it kinda took away from the power of Kukkaku's attack.

Man i sooooo thought it was Game over for Aizen. I mean...they should've finished him then and there instead of waiting 5 minutes. I was kinda expecting Byakuya to come...although I'm surprised it took Yamamoto so long to get back, it seemed like it only took him a couple of Shunpo to get away.

Is it just me or was what happened to Komamura's attack REALLY REALLY obvious? I mean, he couldn't hurt Kenpachi with the eye patch with his shikai along with Tousen, who barely beat a nonBankai Ichigo without his eyepatch, who with Bankai was blocked by Aizen's finger while he double teamed him. I was expecting Aizen to just let Komamura hit him and watch his zanpaktou break. Although...they did kinda show that in the preview I think.

One thing though. Tessai used kidou in the high 90s I believe, so is it possible Tessai is better at Kidou than Aizen and Gin?

It was an awesome episode, once again. However, the manga was much better in several aspects; the anime version felt so damn rushed (4 chapters in 1 episode.

I was very dissapointed with music choices though...the Gin and Rangiku scene lacked a lot of emotion that radiated from its manga counterpart.

From what I understood, Rukia had the gem thingy in her body before that. The gigai was used so she would be untrackable by Soul Society and they would never be able to find the gem thingy or Rukia again. What was the gem thingy called anyway... something-gyoku.

2.)He THEN calls forward the 3 other gate guardians of the Serieti. These 3 guys do battle with Kukkaku on Jidanobou who arrives. Kukkaku fires that lightning kido spell and takes one out, Jidanoubou bashes away at the other 2.
3.)Ishida, Ganju, Chad, Orihime, and Hanatarou never reach the hill where Aizen and the rest are. They are standing at the bottom with Yachiru in the manga.
4.)That whole thing with Ichimaru using his spirit pressure on Ishida and group never happened as they were never in the same area.
5.)In the manga, Komomura is wearing sun glasses when he first meets Tousen
6.)When Tousen first meets Komomura in the manga, he walks over to the wrong place and tries to shake hands. Komomura says to turn around and they shake hands.
7.)When the 4th division (3rd seat) guy see's Orihime healing Ichigo, he says that he would like it if she was in her division. Both because of her healing abilities and because he could do "all sorts of perveted things to her". He then draws his swords and slashes at one of the 4th division shinigami, telling him to stop standing around.
8.)Komomura is never seen refusing immediate medical treatment when the 4th division arrives.
9.)In the manga, it's pretty obvious when Aizen extracts hou gokyu from Rukia that the skin on his arm peals off, you even see the finger bones and veins. The anime turned it green for censoring reasons more likely.
10.)The flashback of Komomura meeting Tousen and joining the Shinigami occurs before you see Aizen has caught his sword.

I agree. I don't read the manga, so it's making me mad that I'm missing out on these parts because the anime team is leaving them out! Plus we're going to have fillers anyway, so they might as well leave them in. Taking them out just makes no sense.

that ep was awesome :) finally got to watch the sub. Whilst some of it was rushed I thought a lot of it was done very well, I actually really liked the way they did the Rukia and Byakuya scene, that was touching. Also some of the animation was nice, Komamura getting owned by the blast spell was good. (another little bit not included, in the manga gin comments on Aizen doing that spell without an incantation, not just that it was high level)

I said it earlier but it was under spoiler tags so most people probably missed it, to all those who were asking wtf was up with the 'random' menos tearing a hole in the sky in the intro...now you know :P

and to Insipidipity - yeh Tessai seems to have incredible Kidou abilities

But another thing that Im wondering about is when Kuchiki said of it being a 15 year old story. Isn't Rukia supposed to be like 50+?

One thing though. Tessai used kidou in the high 90s I believe, so is it possible Tessai is better at Kidou than Aizen and Gin?
It was a level 99 Kidou that Tessai used. He used it perfectly, unlike Aizen who apparently failed at a lvl 90.

Also, in the manga, when it shows Komamura behind Aizen right after being hit with Kuro-Hitsugi, instead of showing that and then Ichigo saying how strong Aizen is, it shows Ichigo on the ground, and says, "They are both captans" (now on screen with Komamura still levitating bhind him) "How can be be such....a difference in power?"

Also, Tousen's eyes were open during the flashbacks. I felt the Black Coffin spell was...alittle underwhelming in the anime, I dunno, it just didn't feel all that powerful IMO.

Yea I just noticed that as well. I guess Rukia tried to become a shinigami 50 years ago. Meaning if shes 10x Ichigo's age(170ish?) then she was 120 when she became a shinigami, about 12 years old. Wow.

Was I the only one who found it weird the way Aizen struck Rukia? Like she was in his left hand, and then that 1 sec flash, she was at his right, in the middle of the air....Is it just me? And oh, one complaint that I do have of the episode, they didn't make Aizen's hand creepy with that technique like the manga did.

Did you honestly read what DB translated for you Konoha, or was there too much information for you to gather? Rewatch and find the reasons why. Aizen even says so himself. Anyways, the art at the scene between Rukia and Byakuya, was drawn and colored lovely. The VA's should win an award for that! That's the exact way Kubo did it in the manga and exactly how I imagined it when I read the chapter. Best scene to me throughout this whole series.

I geuss the reason why they rushed this episode and left out bits and pieces, is because it was hard to cut it in two episodes ?
Anyway I liked the episode eventhough most things went as expected, except for Aizen, Gin and Tousen going up to the hollows.

As for people who are saying that Aizen could have taken that powerfull thing from Rukia right away. That would be to difficult if you ask me. Rukia would tell everyone, and Aizen didn't know how to extract it from her body yet without killing/destroying rukia...

I thought this episode was awesome as hell. Byakuya came out of nowhere, and I nearly crapped my pants when Yorichi and Soi Fong popped up a few seconds later.

And Aizen completes his Clark Kent -> Superman transformation. XD

Where in the hell were Kenpachi and Yachiru, though? What, did they get lost or something?

The execution method would've been more easier for him I guess. He was lurking in the shadows during the whole thing and all the other Captains and Vice-Captains hadn't a clue what was going on.

I've always wondered if the plan wasn't to snatch the Hougyoku in the midst of confusion as the giant amount of power from soukyouko was released, nobody would notice him and then Aizen could dissapear and they'd be none the wiser for a while, he could even leave Gin and Tousen behind to continue placing orders from central 46 to throw all suspicion off him before they left at a later date.

he found the other way after sending rukia to die. it was a back up plan in case the first one failed. either way i think aizen said once that he wanted to weaken soul society so killing a few captains and make them fight each other would make it easier for him to finish his plans.

Gin and Rangiku were friends when they were kids, remember? They've showed several times Rangiku showing concern for Gin throughout the series.

In the end, when the light from the Menos surrounded Gin, he explained that he wouldn't have found it so bad if he could have stayed with her for a little longer.

Basically, they're in love - or just very good friends that care.

Not sure if this is considered a spoiler as it was omittied from this episode.
When Soi Fong and Yoruichi caught Aizen, Yoruichi and Soi Fong basically said they will kill him if he moves, he says "Very well..." the 3 Gate Gaurdians pop up and he says "What will you do now? Not even you two can come after me while fighting all of them at the same time can you?"

That kind of implies that... well, yes those two could've killed him had Aizen not used his hypnosis to control the others to distract them. At least that's how I interpeted it.

Aizen didnt know about the second method until after he slaughtered the Senate and was able to search the Library underneath the Senate.

So if he was to attempt extracting the crystal while she was in jail, he would have risked being spotted because he had already faked his death.


I personally thought the episode was a let down, the only part I liked was Rukias brother saving her. I was hoping for some kind of fight scene or Ichigo forming back into his hollow form for Aizen to see. I loved 60 and 61, just thought 62 didnt deliver. Aizen could have at least sent a menos or two for the Soul Society to fight

The guys strength isn't only his hypnosis, while he was slashing down renji and ichigo it wasn't hypnosis, it was Aizen moving so fast that ichigo not being able to see him in which case Ichigo fought Byakuya and matched his speed whereas Yoroichi told after saving him from Byakuya(the bridge situation) "no one could stand against him there" implying Byakuya is stronger then herself so that Ichigo beating Byakuya means he can beat Yoroichi and That leads us to Aizen killing yoroichi without moving a Finger no matter Who is with her, Soi Fon or someone else... Correct me If i am wrong.

I thought this might be complicated so I simplified the equasion:

Aizen>Ichigo>Byakuya>Yoroichi>Soi fon ( I dont wanna hear "Ichigo beat byakuya because of that hollow power, otherwise he couldn't" kind of Byakuya fanboy talk)

And considering there is a HUGE gap between Aizen and Ichigo, Yorichi + Soifon İs no macth for him even he can't use his Illusion.

2 things. I registered just so I could say this.

1) It definitely wasn't 15 years. I thought I had misheard it wrong when I read the subtitles but after going back and listening to it he said it was a 50 year old story.

2) They gave kinda a bad translation of what Ichimaru said to Matsumoto. He really said something like "I wish you had held on longer." I would take that to mean he would hav eliked her to come with him.

So this was the last episode in this arc? What a weird ending...

quick question... is it me or does the AVC release by DB has audio distorsion (ex)when AIzen gets hit by Negacion?

I have 4 releases... DB,DB AVC, Lunar and Lunar H264. I want to know if there's something wrong with the AVC release or its just a codec problem I have.
